Yep, that was strange :P Any particular reason? |

| It's cheaper than getting two 1000's, you'll have greater accuracy than just two 800's because one of the decks has .02%, you'll get used to playing on the two different platters and there are different looping functions on each deck which may suit you at different times. |

| i'm sorry, but the 800mk2 is a piece of junk compaired to the 1000mk3. i think the 1000 is easily worth 4 or 500 more dollars. it is superior in every way. i've been using a pair of BRAND NEW 800mk2's at the new club in town. they don't hold a candle to my 1000's. |

Thank you everyone for your responses. Sadly though I feel like I'm back at square one as people seem to side with both models for various reasons. I'm hopefully going to get a chance to play around with both of them this weekend and will make my decision then.
Thanks again! |

Who knows. I was just reading a different forum and a guy who claims to be a perfectionist states that he's perfectly happy with an 800, so I started leaning back towards the 800....but then i read your post and started leaning back cuz i'm that ridiculous lol. |

You're out of your mind.
That's ~1000 more for not many significant differences at all. |

i would go with the 800s! so much more money left for a few hundred tracks! ;)
i think you'll be happy with both players though! only used the 1000 one time, rest of the time 800s and my own 200s!
it's much fun on every of the players! if you have the money buy the 1000s! if you're short of money buy the 800s and 300 mp3s for the same! ;) |

| depends how much that extra $4-500 or so per unit is worth to you. got 1000 is certainly a better deck, but i don;'t think it's worth that much more |

| 800's are ok. not that much of a difference from the 1000's. if you have the money spend it on the 1000's if you don't just get the 800's. |
