Yeah, I hate electro in psy too. Not a fan of newer Astrix at all for this reason.
The Ticon album isn't psy at all though. It's electro house, progressive and tech-house. |

that is the problem, so much was expected from this new album and it failed on a major scale. i am all for artist progression but this album is a downturn imo. |

yeah but good progressive is psychedelic enough, as is alot of the nice minimal techno and tech house, everything sounds spacey and nice in the bush, and always will but i wouldn't sub catergorise it to psy-prog, artists like Sun contole species and ace ventura would be the psy prog

| Well trance can only be experienced between about 135-150 bpm (varies between different people). Anyway psy/goa trance is usually psychedelic (or at least the good stuff anyway) as well as trancey (far more so with oldschool goa trance) but it isn't hypnotic just like techno isn't trancey/psychedelic. |
