No my girlfriends do not act like this bitch.
Not having a father figure in a girls life can..
A) make them look for a father figure elsewhere ie.. dating douchbags
B) make them feel like they aren't ever pretty enough [especially when they are]
C) the obvious one.. They become strippers..
D) you get an out of control teenage bitch
My friends are in the A & B category.
The "mama's boy" and "daddy's little girl" is true. It really is fuking important because young girls should NEVER act that way. |

I disagree with "b","c", and "d", though I think "a" is quite common. The other three are stereotypical images. Stereotypes exist for a reason, yes, but I fail to see how not having a father can directly cause a girl to think she is unattractive or become a stripper (explain it if you can).
If the mother disciplines the child properly and imbues good values, there shouldn't be a problem with the daughter's self esteem which will force her to do what you mentioned.
One of my closest female friends has not had a father since she was 5 (he died), and she has grown up fine, most morally sound person I know I think. Only one example, which isn't much, but it shows that with the correct mothering the results can be good.

even 1 of my girlfriends who has the sweetest and coolest father EVER has started going downhill since i moved.
She's the type that likes to fit in with whichever crowd she is hanging with at the moment. [another thing, not having their own personality]. Only when she is with me does she want to better her life, stop partying, stop the drugs etc...
Now she's fuking stripping and it's kinda pissing me off because she is pretty and much better than that. Only because her dad is more like a friend and not a father. He always saves her from everything and never taught her how tough the real world is. She's never had a real job. She worked with her daddy who pays her even if she hardly shows up.
I'm not saying EVERY SINGLE GIRL who grows up without a father figure is gonna end up a whore.. But it is a majority. |

I think a father should inflict good self esteem on their daughters. I've known mothers who straight up tell their daughters "you're fat".
A girl with real father figure [either in a brother or dad] would never stoop so low as to strip. I can't imagine a girl telling her daddy "DADDY WHEN I GROW UP I WANNA BE A STRIPPER". Obviously if the dad isn't into the daughters life then yes she is going to do stupid .
If she had respect for herself and her family.. She would never think of stripping. I just can't see how anyone would be okay with their little sister or daughter stripping. But what you say is true. Good parenting from the mother can result into good things. But for me and my friends who ARE daddy's little girl... We have a MUCH better relationship with our father than our mother.
Edit - I am just saying a FATHER should be into the daughters life. Divorced or together.. he should be there for her. He should WANT her to better her life.. he should want her happy with her boyfriend/husband. |

1. "Inflict" means to hurt in some way, it has negative connotations.
2. Yes, mothers can say "you're fat", but so can fathers. My Dad says it all the time when the family gets together. Besides, I fail to see how telling someone they are fat would force them to start taking their clothes off for money - surely it would do the opposite if they perceived themselves as unattractive? Regardless, you're assuming all strippers are whores. Not all are - I have known strippers who are doing law or medicine and have no other way to pay for the degree than by stripping. Otherwise they are motivated, smart and morally sound.
3. "A girl with real father figure [either in a brother or dad] would never stoop so low as to strip" - so you're saying that every person who is a stripper has no father? Obviously not, which means that there ARE fathers who let their daughters strip for a living. Hell, I've seen Dads on TV saying how proud they are that their daughter will be in Penthouse/Playboy.
