Well, me personally...I'm not trying to sell you Ironman...just saying, it's shortsighted of you to take the word of someone who clearly has no idea what he's talking about.

Not saying they both aren't terribly fun to read, but there are times when I look at them and say to myself "Are you ing kidding me? :stongue: "

Haha same here. Hertzberg's March rant about why McCain should have Condoleeza as his VP was ing hilarious.

Well then it's kinda dumb of you to come in here and say anything at all.

*punch*

Precisely. No one is trying to sell you the movie. We've seen it and we re commenting on it, people might see it and not like it, which would be fine, but you re ranting about how the film wouldn't be worth your while because of all your preconceived notions, and how the article supports these notions of yours.

You said yourself you d already made up your mind about not watching it, come what may, so hey! Clovis won't watch Ironman. Not like it's Schindler's list and you ll be missing out on a piece of movie history or anything, but meh, its 8$, go watch it, it's entertaining. The second part is where the meat of the story will be though, with War Machine.

I also saw the Ironman animated movie that was released some time back. Being 2006 or 2007 and all, the animation was really not up to the mark, but Tony Stark's character is way better defined in the opening of that film than this one.

8 dollars is nothing anyways.

:wtf:

I mean, do you guys go to a theater and see what you think you might maybe enjoy because other people said it was good even though it's not your kind of film at all, or do you choose the best possible choice that will most likely satisfy you and that you think is WORTH not only 8$, but includes the opportunity cost of not seeing other films that may be more worthwhile for you? All this of course, considering you go to the theater maybe once every 2 months.

Again, I don't see what is so amazingly difficult to understand here. When I go to see a movie at a theater I usually try and pick what I MOST want to have the luxury of seeing in that setting on a big screen, not just whatever I think will be mildly entertaining since I have nothing better to do that watch movies all day and am ting out 8$ in convenient little rolled packets. 8$ is 3 tracks a beatport, 8$ is a whole Hot Dog/Soda combo @ AMC!

Regarding the Avengers...I don't think it's too smart for a studio to release two different movies based on the same property in such a short amount of time. If the first flops or gathers very little casual interest, the second will too.

At least with a separation of time, marketers can sell the second movie under a slightly different banner. Warner Bros. originally wanted to release Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions within ONE week of each other...that was obviously a stupid idea, so then they decided one in May, one in July. Even with that, Revolutions might interfere with Reloaded's receipts, so they pushed it back even more. Perhaps this is a bad example considering Revolutions made only about 40% as much as Reloaded due to Reloaded's horrible rep.

I agree.

I think they should skip out on Captain America all together. If the entire Avengers groups builds up Captain America then *maybe* do the spin off movie.
