i cant believe no one has mentioned his setup yet... i understand its only a mix cd but regardless i think something thats obviously (deserved or not) going to make a ton of money should have a better setup than 2 speakers set up on chairs, some cdjs, and everything going into a macbook pro. or whatever the that whack looked like. if theres any terrible mixing (more than likely) like in isos5 we know the reason. why the do artists really do all this in just one day? why not take some ing time? oh wait, now i remember, they dont care because its all about the money.
im looking forward to hearing it because i actually really loved isos6 (isos3 being my fav), but after seeing that setup i expect it to be much more like isos5 in that "i dont care how badly produced it is because as long as its got my name people will buy it" tijs attitude. |
he has everything he needs
i respect the fact that he records live because I feel it gives it a certain energy. doctored mixes are lifeless like retouched photographs.
i always record my mixes in one go |

+1
and -1 to "Oh digital mixing its so perfect and hightech".
Anyway, by looking at the video, this Tiesto guy looks like a very nice and cool lad (in contrast to Deadmau5, deadrat6 etc). This, together with the fact that the last ISOS is named after the vast and exotic continent that Asia is, will make me...download this cd!:p |

That seems like a perfect setup to record a mix, what else do you need? |

| it's funny how now so many of you are knocking "non realtime" recordings, yet i bet most of you love releases like sasha & digweed's northern exposure and the like. it's definitely nothing new to the industry... |
