************ MAJOR ISSUES WITH SECURITY*************

I was looking forward to this event every single day for the past 5 weeks, only to make it the
worst night out ever. I drove 5 hours from upsate NY to come to this event, I got there around
11 and the vibe was amazing everyone had there hands in the air and was having a good time,
as I had to drive home as soon as the event ended I elected not to a have a single drink. When
Armin came on with all smiles and the rest of the crowd smiling It was so peaceful for about the
first 30minutes of his Set. Out of no where That ed up that everybody else
complained about just randomly pushed through the crowd shoving and punching every single
person he saw, and out of no where he just looked at me and Punched the out of me for no
reason and my eye glasses went flying off my head, I could not find my glasses anywhere. A
few people saw what happened and started to look for my glasses, and I want to thank those
people who tried to help me, anyway after 20 minutes of no luck finding my glasses, I tried to
find a security person with a flashlight to help me search the floor. I saw a guard near the
Couches and the guard Said “ I can’t leave my post” So then I went looking for another guard
and that guard just looked and smirked and said “There is nothing I can do about it, I can’t
walk around disturbing the crowd” I needed my glasses I had to drive back to Syracuse, and
with out my glasses I could not drive home at all. Finally My glasses were found.Needless to
say my glasses were broken but I did a quick tape job just so I could get home. I don’t know
what I would of done If I didn’t find them I would been of stranded. For what happened to
Kelly, myself and the other 20 people. I really hold security responsible, What happened to
Kelly and myself would of been avoided if Security was alert, there definitely should of been a
security guard in the DJ booth to overlook the crowd. Before that dumb ass hit me and
attacked Kelly he was causing trouble for a good 5 minutes and if security halled his ass out of
the Building Kelly and my incident would not of happened. For a 25.00 ticket I bought I have
to shell out $350.00 for a new pair of glasses. So basically in one night I lost 350.00. Also
everytime I go to Pacha I get searched pretty good, why did they feel they didn’t have to search
people that night? If that had a gun or a knife, There was no doubt in my mind he would
of used it. There would of been many of us not here today if he had a gun. Actually he could of
even of shot Armin as well. How horrifying would that be if 400++++ plus had to witness that.
I am not being over peronoid that guy was nuts and I truly believe he was capable of doing alot
of damage. That is really scary to me. Is my life and everybody else’s life really worth being
ended early for going to Pacha??????

Listen child... I knew Armin before you had a chance to squirt your first cumload in your pants when you saw a hot ass at a DJ Sammy headlined rave, ok kid? I actually had an exchange of emails with Armin back when his site was on demon.nl and his studio was just a tiny little room with 2 speakers and old mac.

I supported Armin by buying his records and CDs, not downloading them from teh interwebz. I have every singe one of his "ASOT" (the albums, from even back when the show started by that name). So, I think I do deserve a right to voice my criticism of his new direction if I feel inclined to do so.

Armin's album 78, signed by Armin is one of my prized possesions. "Imagination", on the other hand, will never be in my collection. I suggest you listen to the album 78 so that you can understand the contrast. If it doesn't make sense, why don't you go back to listening to 103.5, ok kid?

And the next time you open that obviously uninformed hole you insist on calling a "mouth", you think long and hard about what you're saying and just opt to keep it shut. Ok kiddie? Class dismissed.

Im gonna have to agree with you. the 76 album is way better than IMAGINE

nah ur not being overly paranoid..that is very true...sure its less trouble to be searched when going to a party and all, but yeah things CAN get overlooked...and things DO happen when one least expects it. hmm come to think of it, they didnt search at all when we went for Above n Beyond...

glad u found ur glasses.

In respect to the #1dj curse... i think it's a combination of different variables. I think you also have to consider what kind of party wed night was - this was not meant to be an Armin Only or average nyc gig (5hour set). Armin in montreal was :eyespop:  :eyes: lots of fun that night!

This was a short party, and honestly, I was expecting to hear a lot of the stuff on ASOT that he's been throwing around lately - i was really there to hear some of his album tracks (original or mixed) live since they were new.

His party @ ARC was on WED too and he ripped it:crazy:

boy, what happened to Armin? He used to be a trend-setter, a trail-blazer, a (insert your cliche'd adjective here)... Now, it's all the same crap, all the time, now with more vocals.

I was listening to ASOT today and COMPLETELY HATED IT. I am actually glad there was a little preview of what armin will do at McCaren - that saved me the money I was going to spend on the ticket. Glad I'm not going, quite honestly.

I think Armin has been touched by the same curse as all other #1 Djs before him - the #1 DJ curse. Nothing changes anymore, he plays pop-trance, almost pop dance tracks. And La Guitara??? the tiest track of the year that he keeps on playing for over 8 weeks now on ASOT? Like 50,000,000 variants of it? The Deadmou5 mix, the Gepetto mix, the Pinnochio mix, the "my grandma's retirement home shuffle and fart" mix, the "... what do we do with it again?" mix, the "oh , let's re-make it mix", the "on the beach, totally sick of this ing tune but will remix it anyway" mix....

! STOP! SHRED THE ING THING! It's worse than what PvD did back in the day with NBY!!!! Jeeezus! WTF?!!!!

Ugh. I don't know whom I hate more - Tiesto or Armin. Sad sad sad. From the days of "Boundaries of Imagination" to the he plays nowdays it has been nothing short of the "trail of tears"... at least for some devoted fans like me - fans that even back in 1999 knew that this guy would go far. I just didn't realize how far he'd go, eventually abandoning his old fans. I guess such is life of a popular DJ nowdays.

:stongue: :stongue: :stongue:
ARMIN'S latest productions are just ugh:toothless
"how could it end this way"
"dont leave me , love me"
"just a little bit longer" BOOOOOOORING :o:o:o but ill still go see him @ Macarren pool LOL

PS
Boundaries of Imagination album:crazy:   :crazy

I remember Armin playing FOREVER WAITING (Fred baker & Mr sam) VS Summer calling (Andain) :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: :eyespop: until today that is my favourite song:toothless

I think the cover was like $15 or $20, not quite sure:tongue2

And that asot episode was the top 20 of 2002 so it wasnt just any asot.....omg who gives a . Cheesy vocal tunes are cheesy vocal tunes. If Armin came out with Burned with Desire now people would be like OMG EPIC CHEEEEZZZZZ, ARMIN SUXXORSSS. Its stupid, armin could spin the darkest and it would be called cheesy cause its armin playing it. People on this board are so nostalgic it's a joke. OMG Armin was sooooooo good back in the day. Kinda like the, OMG Crobar was the back in the day!!! Hilarious. People should keep their own opinions and not just repeat what the other leet posters on here say.

And just for the record I was chill until people started to call me out. I still am chilled. I just think this board is ridiculous with some of the I read. And thank god the opinions of this board make up a very small percentage of what the gen pop really thinks.

all i know is burned with desire is my all time fav armin track. i left early and he played it. still have never been there when he played it. i luv classic cheez trance and yes i miss crobar so much. who remembers that classic armin set. 1am -9am, what was that date? oh well i never post that much but this thread has been priceless, just had to get in on it. why the pool? just get back to tob warehouse. please!!! glad the night worked out for all the ta,s.

wowjimmy: that really sucks. Looks like that guy bothered EVERYONE!! ( I had seen him bothering *quite* a few people, but seeing all the stories, it seems as if the guy was on a rampage.

And you are right, there WAS no search. I wonder why?? In a place like New York, I dont mind the searches at all! Did they think that because it was a weeknight that people wouldnt be on drugs and/or carry a weapon? weird.

Not to mention the fact that it took 5 hours for security to get to the floor. If it werent for ARMIN that dude would have been in a coma because he had pissed off so many people that, once it started, he was just getting pummeled by everyone. crazy and scary that no one came......thepeople on the floor actually had to make a conscious decision to STOP hitting the guy because he was so ed up and no one intervened for so long. you dont see THAT very often.

I actually really like the Made staff, so I wonder why this happened (or didnt, rather?)
