Star Wars Episode 2..thoughts, reviews..first impressions?

I just got done seeing this new installment in the much talked about series. While it was entertaining if you didn't like Episode 1 or you weren't a fan of the series this one will NOT convert you. To begin with the movie started very abruptly not explaining anything or developing any characters. The end of the movie ends without a real climax and a lot of unfinished business..kinda like Empire Strikes Back. The middle plot of the movie is predictable and riddled with George Lucas' trademark bad dialogue. In the end no real surprises and it kinda left me feeling empty..there's not a single scene that really stood out to me as mind-blowing. On the positive side, there's much less Jar Jar Binks and its shows a darker more serious side though I would have liked to see much more of that side.

..better than Spider-Man anyday

it is much better than episode 1.. by far!

there is a huge battle, which is a + and schweet light saber action and use of the Force and Boba Fett and stuff! :eyes:

I was hoping they would get rid of Jar Jar Binks altogether.

Great Movie!

I loved the action scenes, and all of the characters. It was kind of a slow movie, but for a Star Wars fan, you will appreciate the entire movie.

My only gripe is that Anakin was played by one of the worst actors I have ever scene. Ever scene he just seemed like he was over-acting.

Oh well, Great movie. If you want to see a movie, see this.

actually yoda does not really kick ass and i thought the fight scenes in this move were crap compared to Episode 1. Darth Maul vs. Obi Wan was the ..this stuff is just lame.

and all that stadium fighting stuff if just a ripoff of Colisseum and Gladiator!

I thought the movie was great. It's awesome seeing how things lead up to the creation of the Empire and episodes 4-6.
Anyway, I personally didn't think the movie started abruptly at all. It was just done in typical Star Wars style. In episode 5 for example the sudden appearance of the alliance on Hoth only receives a quick explanation. If one wnted a full explanation of all the events in the Star Wars seires, Lucas would have to make quite a few more movies.

(to yujies comment, if it wasnt a joke)

i really dont understand why people dont use 2 brain cells and realize that maybe everyone who hasnt seen the movie (which is probably a lot considering its the first day) would not want to know what happens in the end. think people, think.

Yeah, it wasn't a joke, but what's the big deal? That tells you absolutely nothing about the movie........

Maybe people should think before flaming
