Don't know if you would classify this as cheating but I broke up with a guy and he didnt get the picture and was still saying he was my boyfriend (which he wasn't) so I started seeing another guy so he would leave me alone.
Thats the ONLY and the closest thing I've done to cheating. (He considered it cheating because he felt he still had me, but I didn't) |
if you already broke up with him directly, then its not cheating.
I feel it *IS* cheating when you're doing something and haven't told your significant other yet -- regardless of whether the feelings are gone or not. if the other person is in the dark while u do ur thing, ur a cheater, and should *man* up to it, if even to yourself. it doesn't do any good to lie to oneself and be like oh i dunno if i was a cheater, cuz you were. plain and simple. and i know soo many ppl who lie to themselves its not funny.
Cheating can be both physical AND emotional, thats the truth...
yes, I def heard of more women that cheat than men. More often, women do emotional cheating while men lean more toward physical. then again ive known the reverse also. it happens.
Relationships are taxing and potentially drama-filled enough, if you can’t be faithful then DON’T be in or call it a RELATIONSHIP. It’s just not your time to be serious yet. Don’t be selfish and greedy by wanting your cake and eating it too. or else just have a casual, seeing type of relationship but then realize whats good for you is good for your partner also. |

Sorry about that, I just get annoyed when people start with the whole "all men cheat" thing (which I realize is not exactly what you said, but is sorta implied in the compliment). I agree that most people on a whole do cheat, but I don't think it's gender-based at all. |
its funny, these days i meet more guys that say they really want a gf/relationship vs. girls. many of my girl firends do NOT want to be in relationships right now. Interesting... |

Wow, this is a very sensitive and the most debateble topic on earth!
everybody has a diffreat defination of cheating, for me im almost 21 atm and i have been with this girl for 5 years, since we both were 16, we were high school sweethearts, it turned into an long distance relationship for the past 2 years but i'd still go see her every few months, in all the past years we broke up a lot of times and patched up again, it was like an on and off thing coz we faught a lot and we were unable to stay w/o each other on the other hand. Sexually i have always been loyal to her till date, i definately am attracted to other women when im out with them and lust for them but i put a stop and limit myself.but yeah when we were on a breakup phases i've made out with random girls and even that made me feel guilty. i dunno if u'd consider it cheating? i've always wanted ppl's opinion on that...would u consider it cheating? but yeah they definately made me feel guilty. and recently we broke up a few months back, but i still dont feel like cheating on her, and that is really holding me back from moveing on :( Sucks! |

well maybe...then again a lot of these girls are independent, self-sufficient in every way..and they just love to go to party, go out to bars and hang out in groups and stuff...
but ur probably right, maybe they haven't met the right guy...or just dont want to deal with the drama |

ha! I love this! :)
^^coolestrl: In the toronto forum, they defined cheating as anything your partner wouldn't agree with/be hurt by/etc......but if you are broken up, this doesnt apply, because she may be hurt by it, but cant say anything about it.
Lyss: agreed with the "girls want to be single more" statement. I find that in a lot of my friends, where as many of my guy friends are looking for something mroe stable. interesting. |

I've cheated and been cheated on. Both were ty situations. I'm a bad liar so I was caught almost instantly. When I'm in a great relationship, I have no desire to be with anyone else but the problem with me is I always get tangled up in long distance relationships so often times I feel lonely or feel like I'm not in a relationship.
I agree on waiting to get serious in your mid 30's. Things tend to calm once you hit that age. I'm starting to see that now that I'm getting old lol |
