Something tells me this can't possibly be the whole of the story, so take it all with a grain of salt - but if they actually have a 90 minute cutscene in this game it should automatically be billed as one of gamings biggest failures.
It's a game, not a movie. I don't know about many of you, but having an hour and a half of time to sit and play a game is pretty rare as it is, I sure as don't want to spend it watching a movie. |

maybe 90 total mins of cut scenes? though that might seem a bit lacking. |

Obviously nothing for sure, but we'll see. All I'll say is that if I want to see some "finely crafted examples of FMV footage" I'll watch a movie.
It will disgust me if this gets all high review marks even though it contains the speculated 90 minute cut scenes. |

| 90 is pretty intense, but tbh half the reason I play MGS is because of the story. If you don't enjoy Hideo's auteur-like direction of the game, then just tough . :p |

I play games when I want to play games, I watch movies when I want to watch movies.
What you're talking about is watching movies, you aren't playing anything. |
