Yup, I'm pretty shocked as well at the ratings. I assumed they would average a nine, but they're far surpassing even that.
Reviews like that generally mean quality, regardless of how many of them were "bought and paid for."
I think it will be good, I just hope that there is more play time than movie time - one of the best aspects of a game like GTA4 was that it really left you in charge of some of the most epic aspects of the story (the bank robbery comes most readily to mind). I don't want to watch things like that, I want to play them.
I will say, however, that the whole point of me posting the low review above was specifically that they noted the 90 minute cut scene was the epilogue, making it profoundly more bearable than if it would have come up anywhere else in the game. Like I said before, I just hope that should I get to a point where I've beaten the game but don't have an hour and a half to watch the end, I can go back and take a night to watch the "movie" that is your reward for beating the game. |

Maybe I'm just taking these a different way than you intend for them to be taken, as you did with my comment. (I was saying the way you look at things bring me joy :p ) And your defensive responses really didn't help. It surprises me how you can go from laughing at what I say one day to asking me if I'm living in denial :p

Unfortunately, I don't particularly think that applies to this instance.
If people can't take others opinions at face value (or provide more of a response than "Lol, pessimism", then that's their problem, not mine. |
