If you are remotely interested in cars the motoring section will make you angry.
Our zoo is being loaned some Pandas from China next year. The front page news a couple of days ago was that the pandas weren't injured by the earthquake. no mention of the 50,000 people who died.
Oh, just after the Zimbabwe elections were held and Mugabe was doing what he does, the front page news was that Michael Clarke pushed Bingle's car to the petrol station. yes, front page, and that didn't even happen in Adelaide.
Theres a regular column called "Heritage Matters", obviously its about Adelaide's heritage, but pretty much every week it just pushes an anti-development agenda.
I could go on and on about piss-poor reporting, awful reviews of movies, music and cars, wrong story priorities and hardly impartial stories.
Oh, and its the newspaper that gave Nicole Cornes her start. Enough said.
Its an absolute trash rag, unfortunately its the only newspaper in Adelaide. |

Dont get your hopes up for this movie.
Just enjoy it for what it is. You get to see harrison do most of his own stunts, indy's wit is still there and some cheesy moments make it nostalgic 80s all over again.
Again, is it better than transformers? Hell yes.

Saw the film yesterday and despite the critics I moderatly enjoyed it. It's not a topmovie at all; but it's amazing to see how Ford picks up his role seamlessly after 20 years. The action tries to be in the good old clichéd fashion way and that's a plus in this movie.
The ending is absurd/over the top (just like the other Indy's) but overall the movie is okay.
7/10

I thought it was utter - another George Lucas film with horrible dialog, gratuitous and disgusting use of CG, and a plot that was maybe one of the worst pieces of garbage since Epic Movie.
And for a movie that seemed to take such pains to look like there was more detail in it than actually exists in the real world, the Crystal Skull itself was one of the most horribly made props I have ever seen in a movie. I've seen high school plays with better props.
If it really was "truthful and faithful to the originals" (whatever that means), I'm really glad I haven't wasted my time on them. |
