PS: You should come up to Milwaukee for Burridge on the 2nd of July - I forget whether or not you'll be twenty one by then, but it doesn't matter as it's at Summerfest. |
21 next week, amigo! Can't wait another day, the final week is the worst of them all.
I risk sounding like a dumbass on this one, but is Burridge a music fest, or just a big-time 4th of July event Milwaukee throws akin to what Chicago does with The Taste of Chi? |

Lol, my bad - Summerfest is the "Worlds Largest Music Festival"

And Burridge is - well, this is Lee Burridge:

Get familiar, and get in - if I remember, I'll try to PM you some material to test the waters with tomorrow. :) |

The past two years I have gone to Summerfest I usually end up bored trying to find good music. Mike Doughty was pretty good, and some guy from Minneapolis on the Chipotle stage was also good, but beyond that I feel like nothing catches my ear. They have far too many whiney/rock bands.
If you get any Burridge posted somewhere you should let me know, I'm interested. |

Oh, btw RJT, you are going to regret watching Temple of Doom. Just a heads up.

I'm setting my expectations really low for this one. I need not explain why, other than to tell you to take a look at all of the re-hashes of old ideas that Hollywood seems to be obsessed with over the past couple of years. Also, I despise Shia Lebouf.
Who knows, maybe I'll actually be pleasantly surprised. |

:haha: :haha: :haha:
From now on, I'm committing at least 5 minutes of Googling on names I don't know before posting. I know people who have actually gone to Summerfest, I ed up on misreading your post.
As for attending, that'd be some kickass stuff. Milwaukee isn't a far drive at all, yet I've barely gone north past the border in the past 5 or 6 years since my cousins/aunt/uncle moved away. Be good to party in Wisco once again. Thanks a ton for the PM in advance.

It's sad to say that this a good reason why this movie may suck some ass. But the way I look at it, Spielberg can make a good summer crowd-pleaser. He might not be the best there is, but when it comes to bigger movies, he has a craft that is entertaining enough to be worthwhile if you ask me. I'll at least try to stay optimistic...for now. |

| quote: | Early Review Calls New Indiana Jones Film Dreadful
bowman9991 writes...
"Hope this one isn't true! An early negative review calls the upcoming "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" movie predictable, lacking in tension, and a fan's worst nightmare. SFFMedia believes this new Indiana Jones movie could create a similar reaction a lot of people experienced after watching the first of the last three Star Wars movies, 'The Phantom Menace': you wait for years and years, the anticipation building, and then it's so awful it taints your view of the original movies. Of course George Lucas was involved with Star Wars too." The SFFMedia piece refers to this review on Ain't it Cool News. The trailer I saw (before Iron Man) actually looked great to me, so I'm taking this with a grain of salt.
