If anybody is still wondering why the entire world hates Americans at this moment in time, I offer this as Exhibit A:

If some one shot at me and nearly killed my mate I'd be fairly happy at dropping him. War is a personal thing at that level.
It's not like it was excessive force.
Also I'm basically fairly as, Americans would put it, liberal. |

Right, in war it's kill or be killed. But I don't see where pointing and laughing at a twitching body comes in. |

Oh, I read it all. And I'm still pretty appalled. There is a difference between EMT's exchanging stories about funny calls and thinking a twitching body is "pretty funny." |

Don't get me wrong look back on PDD and find the thread about that Apache killing. See my stance.
But in this case if I nearly died I'd do one of two things cry or laugh and I'd prefer the latter. |

Yeah, I bet you would. And I'd bet you'd be kind of torn up about that fact. I highly doubt you'd describe the twitching of the body as "pretty funny" in and of itself. |

How else do you deal with the fact you nearly died. And have taken another mans life? Looking at his mangled face which could have been yours.
When I told a mate that my mum nearly died and I had to decide whether they cut her head open or not (I missed this part out) I laughed. He was the only guy I told and he thought I reckoned it was funny. So far from the truth....
I've no doubt that Shadow really didn't find the situation funny. |
