| when we were 9 at school we were introduced to stanley knives & told to be very careful with them. Ever one to be quizical, i proceded to cut around a finger nail and have it hanging by a thread of skin. After being warned by the stern old teacher not to mess around I somehow managed to hide the blood, get sent to the nurse who was also the receptionist and say I felt unwell. She gave me some old stamps to help cut with some of those blunt scissors and I managed to wait a minute, shout in pain and make out that those blunt scissors had done the said damage to my fingernail. How I pulled it off I'll never know. |
