Minitek: New York's Electronic Music Festival (pg. 11)

funny, i heard about this on facebook . i've still got a free ticket w/ NWA and i'm looking to get out of here for a weekend. i'm intrigued. is this a festival or just like a dark alley rave? is it all techno music, or is it all EDM?
never been to NY...this could be fun... |

Not sure where it's gonna be held at yet. Considering it's called Minitek Festival.. I'd shoot more on the festival side. After parties will prob fuking rock and YES it's alllllllll techno. |

I'm not sure they sell tickets. I think it's word of mouth. know someone, pay when you get there... and i hear that when you go there, you have to exchange your money for 'moo dollars' and thats the currency you use when inside to purchase food and drinks and stuff |

I was JUST going to write the same thing. Its a lil ridiculous. Maybe i'm a bit more peeved/anxious at the lack of info because I have confirmed peeps coming from OUT of the country for this and we dont even know what the fakkk is going on here.

I know they stopped having their monthly parties... not sure if this will affect Minitek... I'm sure you'll hear something in August about it. They like to keep their underground to an annoying point. |

There WILL be a second round of presales going on sale... at some point.
As usual they are being very secretive, which in this case I agree is a bit obnoxious. Giving out info to a select few at the last minute is fine for Minimoo, but when it comes to a big festival that you are selling tickets for I don't think it's a good plan. I don't think they will be doing that though, and hopefully they will come out with it soon.
I'm helping promote it down here in DC and it's been more than a bit vexing to not have anything to tell people, but I have faith in the Minimoo crew that they know what they're doing. |

sooo is there ONE ticket for the entire event then? I was under the impression that there would be multiple venues, and thus multiple tickets.............. |
