I think one of the most hilarious convos I've ever had on the phone began with a girl wondering whether she had had breakfast that morning :p |

Because I'm not a girl, maybe I've failed to see the difference, but isn't thinking out loud a (rather clumsy) way of starting some random chat?

Yes. |

You have no idea how annoying this is, even if you're head over heels for the person you're talking to. |
bingo, women seem to think the bloke wants to chat for hours on end and if we dont then we arent making any effort in the relationship. No bitch i just want to spend my evening doing something constructive and unfortunately hearing about what some wench in your office did today is not constructive |

It's not even the fact that I don't want to hear what she has to say. It's the fact that I don't want to talk to her 90% of the day. I honestly don't even want to date right now because I don't have the amount of time someone would demand left in my day.
And when she actually falls asleep, all I get is the annoying "welp, guess I hang up?" feeling. Think about it. Would you want me to ramble until I'm unconscious? How is that not annoying :wtf: |

I don't think it proves anything in a relationship necessarily.
I was only alluding to the fact that if you can't physically be with the person you want to be with, then being on the phone together is the next best thing. Feels like they are there with you. No office talk or breakfast food talk included... but it could be - whatever. I love hearing random things about the life of someone I care about. |

| I love conference calls among friends late at night. Used to do at a lot back in highschool. Only business calls nowadays. ;) |

I understand where you are coming from i just don't find it as important as the female it seems. Ive binned off a number of gf's in the past because they take up too much of my time with inane phone calls |
