Just make up some excuse to end the conversation. Promptly but gracefully getting the hell out of lame conversations is an important skill that will save you probably years on your life when you add it all up.

you're the worlds most adorable bitch :D

if some of my friends were like you I'd have more fun talking with them.
Some of them love to spend their time teasing me but I usually scruff it off, but whenever I say something that's in your face they get all bitchy! :whip:

Saturday evening a friend of mine was bitching about her bfs ex gf to this other girl, and while it's true that I am getting a bit annoyed hearing about it that wasn't the point when I told her " you seriously need to stop talking about that"; she comes out telling me " but if you're not happy you can listen to someone elses conversations etc etc etc " :haha:

That's a very good topic right there!

How to tell someone to bugger off when you're basically cornered and have no real reason you could give them to stfu ( apart from the fact they are talking your ear off )?

I'm female and HATE talking on the phone. I avoid it as much as possible. Thank God for text messaging.

The best way to pretend you need to end a conversation is to actually need to end a conversation. So, if you're not in a mood to chat (or listen to someone else chatting), ask yourself what you'd rather be doing. Even if you just think you need "to go", politely say that you need to go.

You're not lying or being disrespectful, are you? :)

I actually have done this before.

Some dude I met in a club was talking about the gym and working out after I already told him that kind of stuff doesn't interest me...so I interrupted his convo to say, "You know what, I'm really not interested in this, why don't you change the subject?"

Lol.

thats ing awesome
I wish i had the guts to do something like that.
I smile at everyone all the time and ppl open up to me about the dumbest ing . Especially some of my coworkers who babble on about meaningless crap... I stare at them and pretend to listen intently while imagining myself stapling things to their heads.

lol right there with ya jenny

last weekend I ended up at some horrible top 40 club where I had sworn myself never to set foot in... anywho I entertained myself by walking around taking artsy pics ( while the posers where all like OMG TAKE MY PIC TAKE MY PIC and I just walked out without paying attention to them )

at one point I'm sitting down chillaxing and this dude comes sits down and talks to me about his limited edition tee-shirt for 5 minutes and how he's like me to take a picture ...
I hate people who brag but I snapped and said " listen I honestly don't care and if you are that cool, let me tell you that I have a limited edition tee-shirt that comes from Singapore ( he was telling me how the brand of his tee-shirt is famous from Paris to Miami :haha: ) limited edition numbered shoes handmade in spain, and I never set foot in crappy places like this so stop trying to impress me" ( I usually never brag about all the cool gear I have :haha: but when some ****s needs to stfu )"

The way I see it is, it's more discourteous to feign interest in a conversation than to actually tell someone you're not interested.

Sure, ideally we could all just suck it up and be polite and active listeners...but that isn't reality. And it *does* take two people to have a conversation. I think it's just as rude to babble on to someone who clearly isn't listening or interested.

Damn, remind me to stay away from you. And from Polish women in general. Oops, too late for that.

Except when you take your text messaging and try to turn it into the same 2-hour phone conversation. Some of us don't have the "gazillion text messages" plan and have to pay for each one, eh?

Also, sometimes it's even hard to interject to say "I need to get off the phone" because you just CAN'T SQUEEZE A WORD IN

text messaging is quite cheap, and is usually, more to the point. at least in my experience.
