How long can you fly consecutively until you go crazy? (pg. 5)

I bused acrossed the country once, I was on one straight trip for about 40 hours. I'm not sure if I'd recommend it, but 20 hours isn't so bad, it's really past that mark that it starts getting ugly.

a bus is not a plane.

there are no snakes on a bus.

how ing stupid/poor would you have to be to subject yourself to that.

jeez.

20 hour flights are hell...you cant get a breath of fresh air every few hours and well if you smoke...ouff.

Make sure you have an aisle seat so you get out of your seat easily and walk around.

worst seat ever :(
people always walk past and knock you
stupid flight attendants knock your elbow with their trolleys as they walk past you,
people grab the top of your seat when walking past, to get their balance
you always have to stand up and let the other people out when they want to go to the toilet.

and 14hrs you're all soft cocks
try flying + transit times of over 30hrs and see how you go

I'm trying to figure out my flight options (going to a few places this summer). Tel Aviv is my last stop and I would fly from there through Munich back to LAX. That's a good 20+ hours of mostly flying, and transferring. Is this mentally possible? I'd save a good $300 by taking this option. I just feel like a wimp cuz most I've ever done on a plane is 6 hours (and that drove me crazy). How the hell does someone just sit for that long? If you've done flights this long consecutively, how did you entertain yourself?

sleep on the plane?

I took a "sleeping pill" from someone I didn't know once on a plane. I ended up to my destination but I had NO recollection of the rest of the flight or even transferring in Houston.

Yeah, what the is that all about.. taking pills from an unknown? I'm surprised you didn't wake up confused with a sore touche.

I heard putting snakes on a plane reaaaly passes the time.

hm i'm a pretty regular flyer. i fly for work every other week though mostly short distance. usually I entertain myself with reading, watching a movie, playing on the PSP, listening music.. eating and so forth.

longest non-stop flights I did were 8 hours (US/Europe) but the longest I did with 2 lay-overs was approx. 14 hours from Amsterdam to Detroit via New York & Reykjavik. that wasn't too bad but a direct flight would've been nicer. the way back from the US back home was hell tho because I had mad fever (bronchitis).. I slept the largest part of the flight. personally I think the stretch between the US/Canadian border and Iceland is really a bitch! it seems to take forever :(

Yeah, but more than eight times a year and the novelty gets reeeeeally thin, real quick! But, it did teach me to never take cattle class and sleep anywhere without using pills.
