Yeah, My clubbing experience of LA blew to be honest, saw pvd last time he played the Vangaurd...ugh, horrible crowd, nice main room but awful flow to it if you need to take a piss or get a drink.
Like I say, Space is as good as I've experienced in USA but thats not really saying much. Yes every club is probably a crack den but with most clubs being dark you're not really exposed so much to the mutant like figures you get to see in the daylight of space. The crack heads aren't really an issue, just a scary sight at 10am on a sunday morning. The issue is the heavy handed security in clubs here, do Space really need to recruit 50 bouncers to keep order at an electronic music event? It's ridiculous, almost feel like I'm being watched by eagle eyed nazi's at times in Space. I mean what was the deal with Hitler himself standing infront of the dj box during pvd on sunday? even telling 1 guy to stop recording on his cyber shot?
From my trips to the likes of Amnesia, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Cream, Privilege, Space Ibiza you really don't see many if any bouncers once inside the club. The scene just doesn't attract the kind of crowd that warrants heavy handed bouncers in my opinion at least.
As for Ibiza, every year people claim it's not the same blah blah blah, it's still the best place in the world to go clubbing by a million miles! and always will be I think. Tiesto's shows at Privilege are sure to be amazing!
ehhh, PVD brings the worst crowds ever in LA, aside from tiesto and armin! i don't go to those shows anymore, but not just b/c of the crowds but b/c my taste has changed drastically. can't wait for ibiza though :tongue2

Pointless daring to suggest LP was a little greedy, theres always some little gimp who was sorted a VIP wrist band from the man himself once who's going to defend him whatever he does. Without LP Miami wouldn't have a dance scene, blah blah ing blah. Yeah, he worked wonders for the scene bitching about the competitions licenses to the city when they dared get in big names:rolleyes:
Good luck to him making a fortune, I don;t blame him for that either, but to declare him some kind of clubland messiah is more than a little gay don't you think?
Gimp? well crafted douche clown. i used to be one of you naive lollipop sucking jackasses who thought that these clubs existed just to promote the scene and spread the love of EDM, buts its a business and a tough one at that..
anyways what some of you guys dont get is that LP has a formula that works, why is he going to veer off from that winning formula? if it aint broke dont fix it. i know he does basically bring in the same djs over the course of the year every year but he does gradually bring in new talent, Eric Prydz and David Guetta(although i hate this guy) are guys he brought in last year to the Space family. and although these guys werent exactly up and coming fresh talent they were some new faces. Hell he brought in SVD, tried out Glaude(that tanked miserbably). Some of you guys here cant see the forrest for the trees.
Melly, Space isnt open on thursdays outside of WMC and holidays. and he opens up on Friday once and a blue moon, his bread and butter is saturday. he has a extremely faithful following that has a certain taste, and he cant afford to take too many chances on his only money night. miami isnt nyc. cielo isnt the same type of venue as space. and another thing do guys think there was a chance that PVD himself wanted to do both clubs? its a possibility...
also who declared him a club messiah? my point is that he is a very prominant and influential figure in the miami scene for better or for worse. is he a 100% positive figure always? hell no. but the guy has brought in more talent from across the globe and throws some of the best parties every year in miami clubland. should we be sucking his kneecaps? no, but a little respect is deserved.

Greed is right, greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you very much. "
that is a terrible quote. he is misusing the word greed for desire. replace the word greed with desire in that quote and its more appropriate. greed is about an unbalance; everyone thinks of themselves and thinks of others to varying degrees, but when the majority perceives someone is thinking of themself too much and not enough of others, it becomes selfishness. this guy sounds like he is trying to justify his selfish behavior by stretching the meaning of this particular adjective that is used to describe a negative human quality.

It's not worth telling them anything they have no idea what is going on. They think that there is some one else who is bigger than him and more influential in our scene in Miami. I'd really like to know who it is. lol Also you are completly correct. They don't understand the business aspect so they go blah, blah, blaaaah!!
I mean the guy has told me before he reads all forums for our scene. Im sure he read everyone wanting a PVD terrace set and look what happened, they bitched again. They even blamed him for everything even though he wasn't there when PVD stopped. Space security said that it wasnt just them who cut the terrace session short. :p
Maybe PVD didn't feel it anymore.hmmmm That never crossed anyone's mind. Who's fault would it be now?? The crowd.hhmmmmmm Now who's to blame?

ZACH for christ fuking sake.
SHUT THE FUK UP. You are talking the biggest I have ever seen. OMFG. NO ONE IS SAYING THESE THINGS U CLAIM WE ARE BITCHING ABOUT.
It's getting annoying.
You weren't there. Everything you have to say is ALWAYS ALWAYS HERESAY !
There is no proof in any you ever talk!
We aren't knocking what LP has done to the scene in Miami. How did it even get to this point instead of being about PvD?
FUK the business aspect. I don't give a fuk. I give a fuk about a DAMN GOOD FUKING PARTY. How he makes his money is none of my business.
I have a RIGHT to say that he charged DOUBLE [cameo & Space] for half of a NORMAL FUKING PVD SET. What don't u understand? We all loved it. We all had a blast.
We are sad that we had to pay FULL price for 1/2 of a NORMAL PVD @ SPACE SET.
ok? Got it? Stop maknig up in your god damn head. Go run around with your "cool" friends. I don't give a fuk WHAT you heard and from WHO. I don't think anyone else cares either! gO AND KEEP UP WITH THE RUMOR MILL. THAT'S ALL UR GOOD FOR.
YOU HAVE NO PROOF ON WHO CUT THE SET SHORT! So stop talking . LP was right fuking there when PvD got off. Must've been a nice site to see when the entire crowd left as well. I have a feeling it's on his contract that he doesn't play more than 6 hours. I don't have proof. But I think someone say he saw someone tell him to get off in 45 mins.

That time of the month Melly?
News flash, PvD sets are always 3 hours. NYC is the exception to the rule.

Newsflash. It wasn't anywhere near 3 hours.
And his sets are usually 4 hours except for the 1 time he had to go to Mexico early in the morning.
All Zach does is talk about the behind the scenes aspects of . I don't really give a fuk who he knows. It's annoying. he wasn't there. ENOUGH with the stupid . No one posted in a week and he's still gotta come in with his annoying name dropping comments.
"we don't know what's going" :stongue: pls. stfu!
edit - i wasn't aware, as partygoers, that we had to know the business side of .
Give me a fuking break. I'm annoyed because I've seen some of the RIDICULOUS PM's Zach will send other members on TA. Putting his nose into EVERYTHING like he is the ALLAH of EDM.
edit #2- I don't feel like responding to anymore ass kissers.
In Short. This will never happen again. Thankfully. I prefer to see PvD in one venue for a longer time then have him share the spotlight in 2 clubs.
I could understand if it's something like a festival day time and him hosting his own afterparty in the night time. Let's face it. Miami will never do anything like that so we shouldn't have to worry. I'll still fly for his June gig next year. It's always a fun meet up with the FLTA's
