Yeah, the chances of mutation ARE slim. You'd have a to do A LOT of in the family ing for it to happen.

Its really hard for you guys to understand ts very common in our culture. Its like telling someone back home that gay people are allowed to talk about their sexulaity and practice it everywhere openly and get married to eachother legally in Canada.....They will look at me as if I have gone crazy or on drugs something.

Someone at work told me the royality did it too and the pope...dont know if its true.

no, the episode with a mutated incest (possibly paki) family that hid their mother under the bed and beat people to death with sticks. this is solid proof.

See so no worries anyways. Only a small partial blood relative anyways. Too many variations in the genetic code to increase the chances.

Yeah, marginal increase only.

2-3% risk of abnormalities in the general population, 3-5% with first cousins. Besides, according to my wonderful genetics textbook, in parts of India, Asia and the Middle East 20-60% of marriages are between first cousins, and they seem to be doing OK.

I heard marrying first cousin if its from the father side is worst than a first cousin from the mom's side... or something like that, anyone heard the same?
