you are making an assumption that he wasn't wearing his seatbelt...however, I've seen several accidents where people are ejected who were wearing seatbelts. In an accident where the vehicle has rolled over several times....such as this accident....its common for someone to be thrown out of the seatbelt.

LOL :)

I think anyone who has driven with me will know that I have horrible roadrage. I don't deal with traffic jams, people who don't move out of the way in the fast lane when they can and people who just are oblivious to everything else around them when they drive. ANNOYING!!!

Incorrect. In moderately heavy (not bumper-to-bumper) traffic, on a major street, with properly-timed lights, and another major intersecting street with many drivers turning off from, the traffic congestion is heaviest immediately after the light turns green, so you lose even more time if you have to wait.

I know - I go through this every day, crossing to the north side of Highway 7. I have to go about 8 streets up and make a left at the end, and getting past Hwy 7 just before the light turns red, continuing just slightly above the speed limit, I don't encounter a single red light. On the other hand, if I'm stuck behind some douche in the left lane who needs to keep 10 car lengths behind at all times and miss the light, I not only have to wait through one light but will almost always get stuck at another red near the end, in addition to losing another minute or so at the left because the traffic is heavy going southbound.

This is just one example - it depends entirely on the area, route, and traffic conditions. Sometimes it may make no difference at all to speed or weave around; however, sometimes it makes an enormous difference. In the case above, it's a difference of at least 5-10 minutes.

Highway exits are another example. Those lights tend to be quite long and a little bit of common sense should show that nothing will offset that time.

I'm not advocating crazy weaving or going 40 above the speed limit. However, most roads are designed (or supposed to be designed) to permit a continuous flow of traffic going at the speed limit. s going below the speed limit will disrupt that flow, and if you can get around them, you often will make much better time.

There's your problem right there.
You and everybody else thinks the left lane is a "fast lane".
You and everybody else thinks they're going fast.

It's not a fast lane, ffs.

It's a passing lane.

Toronto is the only city I ever drove in that rides faster if I stick to the far right lane. Each day I drive home from the office on the 404N, I stick to the right, and I pass everyone from the 407 to past Major Mack. 401 from Dixie to 404N, also fastest when staying in the right lane.

If everyone obeyed the passing lane, problem solved.

/and yes for Patpicos' flashing suggestion. This is the norm in Montreal. Everyone respects it, everyone moves out of the way there. It works. Here in Toronto, a55holes hit the brakes on you.

road rage also consumes a lot of gass... esp with prices like today, it better be worth it

Aye. Aggressive driving is HORRIBLE on ur fuel efficiency. I'll down most all of my even slightly aggressive road habits bc its simply a waste of fuel economy.

Seriousy. Ppl need to realize this. Ugh.

*cue up danny d - road rage* :p

Really depends on the my mood. Most of the time I'm really relaxed. If I'm late for work and stuck in a traffic jam I get pretty in' pissed off.

There are times when I'm completely calm and I'll start yelling and swearing even though I'm not actually pissed. I find it amusing *shrugs*

i like putting on the cruise and put on some beats and im good. i only get agitated when you got a car full of party goers who are all getting antcy to get to the club. which is why i rarely drive to events. dont need the added distraction
