the amount of people cramping behind the Dj is beyond ridiculous - I remember at Axwell, he would literally trip over booth bitches

they were BEYOND ridiculous at Sebastien... but he was eatin' it up.

Good Question, so long as there are DJ's and promotors your out of luck, your bottom of the food chain.

So maybe the day pigs fly?

You hit it bang on.

I find it pathetic.

Apparently brushing your hair behind the booth is 'cool' too.
go figure.

Number one booth goupie move.

But in some fairness hanging out in the booth gives you an incredible view of the floor and crowd sometimes. But, a quick look and see is enough, no need to set up shop.

I think DJ groupie-ism is just a manifestation of people trying to get to the top of the "scene pecking order/social rank". This can be achieved

a) Engaging in social wankfests by saying, "OMG DJ X played the best set I've ever heard" every time they play

b) ing a high profile DJ or promoter

c) Various other ass-kissing strategies

I lol @ these people. I don't really know what it's like to be a regular in a club scene in another city, but some of the stuff that goes on in Toronto along these lines is really quite pathetic. I guess people have to feel good about themselves somehow.

Remember kids: partying is serious business!
