I think DJ groupie-ism is just a manifestation of people trying to get to the top of the "scene pecking order/social rank". This can be achieved
a) Engaging in social wankfests by saying, "OMG DJ X played the best set I've ever heard" every time they play
b) ing a high profile DJ or promoter
c) Various other ass-kissing strategies
I lol @ these people. I don't really know what it's like to be a regular in a club scene in another city, but some of the stuff that goes on in Toronto along these lines is really quite pathetic. I guess people have to feel good about themselves somehow.
Remember kids: partying is serious business! |
:haha: :haha: ^5
I hear most DJ's are lazy/bad in bed anyways
So not only is a DJ whore representing herself in the scene as
A) a whore
B) attention seeker
C) pathetic
But they are doing it all for a ty lay. |

I haven't noticed a difference between toronto and other places in the world I've partied... same thing everywhere.
maybe in certain montreal clubs people are just to ed on pills to try and talk to the DJ? Although.... the company I work for does all the big parties at the bell centre in Montreal. when i first got hired I went the sept long weekend show there.. and there were tonnes of people trying to come up to the booth! |

im guilty of it here and there... for me, its for the view, understanding club dynamics, learning stuff from the dj to add to my repetoire, trainspotting (although i get in trouble sometimes lol), and yea... thats all i can think of at this time |
