when people think Penguin they think some stupid campy, deformed orphan who eats raw fish, stabs fuckers with his nose and goes "waugh waugh" while talking. burtons Penguin is not the Penguin from the comics.
In the comics hes Oswald Cobblepot, a british arms dealer/mobster who owns a nightclub at Gotham.
Penguin can be a really badass character in the Nolan series. give the role to Bob Hoskins and there we go.
one of my favorite penguin moments is in No Man's Land where he auctions off a apple for a load of money. because after the earthquake there was no food left and he had the only fresh apple. |
