| I don't think it has to change anything. Sex is sex and what ever happens behind closed doors doesn't have to affect what happens when you're not ing. It does mess relationships up but it doesn't have to at all. If you're both mature to know what's going on and that it can change at anytime then what is there to ruin? |

Sex isn't just sex to me...unless I'm doing it with someone who I don't give two s about. Hence why I would never do it with a friend. |

The point here is that sometimes it isn't worth the risk. There are certain people I'd rather be friends with for life than risk losing just to get my pen0r wet. |

While not in a relationship most people are still going to want sex, but since it's not with a BF/GF it's probably not THAT special..so it's just sex. Your sexual relationship with your SO is obviously more than just sex. |

I get that, and I've been single. Again, sex isn't just sex to me...doesn't matter if I'm single or not. |

Because it changes the relationship. |
only if you let it.
i know "friends with benefits" almost always turns into a situation where one person has or develops feelings and then things get all messed up, but as long as you both go into it knowing you're just having some fun and some sex and that it and will never amount to anything more, then it's not an issue. its when you start to make a big deal over it or start to get possessive that it becomes a problem. |

It reminds me a proverb: "women need to be in love to make love, men need to make love to fall in love". That's the same problem with a friend, it can't be "just sex". There is almost always a latent sexual attraction before. |
