I'm currently listening to Kind of Blue, do you have any recommendations for jazz albums that can be as flawless as this gem?

Yeah that's true, but I'm quite a noob for what is "classic". I love to go to jazz bars and/or concerts. Jazzmen are actual musicians, it's always interesting to see them live. It changes from laptop djs checking their emails/liveacting with Ableton (and I'm one of them).

i'm a huge fan of stan getz and charlie parker (i play jazz alto sax ;) )

classic jazz? check out miles davis, thelonius monk, dave brubeck, "the modern jazz quartet", john coltrane, etc.
probably one of my favorite jazz performances i've seen is the dave holland quartet http://www.daveholland.com/
there's a pretty cool jazz club down the street from my house that hosts quite a few talented musicians from around the area. probably one of my favorite music establishments around town.

for a real electronic musician, try to see Manuel Göttsching, aka the guy who wrote e2-e4, which was used to make "Sueño Latino - Sueño Latino"

he's playing live for free at lincoln center on the 15th :), then at a club on the 17th with some classic house deejays like joe claussell
