Guess what?! I've got a fever, and the only prescription... is more techno!

Timewarp and Berghein aren't exactly trance (or house) mechas...
I went to see Digweed at Fabric and it was the same stuff!

It could be called...
Highroller's Hits:Where it's all talk all the time, because everything sucks
Vdub and Slingshot could be guest panellists in a Crossfire type format.

Feel free to argue that you don't see any minimal dj's doing this type of super technical banging wizardry at all and therefore they, as well as the genre sucks because of it.
My god...
Are you telling me that they are out there???
Within my reach??
You show me 1 modern DJ who spins like MR Jeff Mills in this video...and I'll change my tune...
Addy used to put on the same kind of show in the Zone from 6-9 every sunday....Best sundays of my life...

Digweed. To a lesser and more subtle extent. I've seen Dubfire pull off like this when he gets going crazy. Carl Cox does this type of when he's on his game. Chris Liebing can do some pretty cool as well. Or how about Richie and his 3 song mash-up meet in one moment of madness segments. doesn't have to be at 130+ to be super technical, layered, and extremely well thought out and clever.
Jeff Mills is obviously in a league of his own but there are quite a few DJ's out there that are just a step below him in terms of technical ability and creativy. And much respect to Addy, but to compare him and Jeff Mills in a discussion on technical ability is a bit of a stretch. Constantly making attempts at 3 and 4 deck mash-ups that sometimes turn out ok ain't the same as doing it consistently and cohesively. Addy does it well sometimes. Jeff Mills does it well in his sleep.

isnt Jeff Milligan up there too? dunno if hes old schooler or not..

Jeff Milligan is up there, but he can be really hit or miss. Few times he's blown me away and made me dance my ass off. Other times he's been technically impressive, but boring otherwise. Other times he's just off on both counts.
His 2-deck set at TOI bar awhile ago, followed by a 4 deck set at footwork was pretty stellar. 2nd time I saw him at FW, after Robert Hood who killed it, he completely killed the energy on the dance floor and had me leaving early.

No no no...
I mean that busy at that speed...
Chris Liebing, old Cox and old Digweed...yah they were good times...
And yes Addy may not be as technically perfect as Mr. Mills, but he always played at the same pace and style...
And there aren't too many DJ's who could be as technically perfect as Jeff...
