I wish that the people who have no idea what they're talking about here would stop pretending that they do.

Many older folks as well as individuals who have little understanding of EDM still identify all such music as 'techno'. For instance, my aunts talk about "that techno crap...the kind of music you can enjoy only if you're on drugs"...If that's the case then I must be high as a kite 24/7!

****ing old people!

There is techno everywhere you go. But this not unlike every other musical fad. I literally stopped partying when we were going through the electro phase. Partying wasn't appealing because the music was shat.

Do I think there is too much techno?
Hell no!
I still miss tribal, but techno is a great substitute.

Let me ask you, what WOULD you like to be hearing in the clubs?

I think progressive and funky house will come back in the next few years. Djs / producers normally pick one direction in order to evolve there own sound.

I friggin' hope not! Funky should stay in Chicago. If that becomes a fad, that will again be another break to my partying career.

OH YES..... and of course Tribal too

A frigging variety of genre, and I include happy hardcore country. (a nod to Scott lol)

No more latest flavour please!
