Calling all cat owners....

Ok I need help. We just got back from vacation and realized two things: Our kitten has discovered her meow (aw), and now stands outside our bedroom door and makes that horrible meow ALL NIGHT LONG (bad!). We can't "just let her in" because she keeps us up all night by smacking things in the room and playing with the blinds, and we can't deal with not being able to sleep either.
Help?
PS
spray bottle isn't working, neither is punting her down the hall. |

i've owned cats my whole life and in my experience you can't teach them to do anything.
i woke up this morning to my cat eating dry spaghetti on the pantry floor. |

| a dog is an emotionally shallow animal... when you yell at a dog, his tail will go between his legs and cover his genitals, his ears will go down. A dog is very easy to break, but cats make you work for their affection. They don't sell out the way dogs do. |

I think really what the cats are saying in this situation is: "look, you dumb sons of bitches, we don't need you. We're just humoring you with our mere presence."
Whether this is good or bad is open for debate. |
