Hahaha forgiven, just next time dont be a coward and hide in the crowd while doing it :p

I keep going over the night in my head and I think I feel very similar to a lot of you...

The music was great I loved his set, it was brilliant sounding... However I just could never get into it. I felt like I was forcing myself to dance instead of the music taking control of me. I rather of just stood there and listened.

I still cant get over the vibe there. I was really hoping for a better night. :(

Wow.. That is the most interesting observation I have ever heard...It is far away from a sociological analysis. I am new to this forum so I might answer your question if you don't mind... Does that mean I just started to go clubs after joining this forum? Do you mean new TA members don't know what trance, house, prog, and other musics OR how a good DJ plays? I just go to stupid crowded guvernment club when a good DJ comes... So, I really enjoy what I listen...though I still think that my car has better sound system than guvernment... Poor Chris...

I think it is only you brother.... I have been listening this music since Dance to Trance came up... You are not more realistic when you do negative criticism... there is also positive criticism... May be all veterans are in one circle which is surrounded by concrete walls...

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the newer TAs generally younger and therefore haven't been out as much or haven't seen DJs multiple times. I'm not suggesting that newer TAs don't know good music or good DJs....just maybe they don't know how to write a full review.

The more veteran TAs seem to not only post the positives of a set but also the negatives...which gives me a better idea about how good the music may have been.

Question...

How can you determine how many times a person has been out or seen a DJ multiple times by the date they joined TA?

Even though Im very new to the scene comapared to all the cool kids (veterns)it is very possible that some newer TAs have been listening to EDM for a very long time and have just recently joined TA...

I do agree with you that the Vets do give better reviews. So many times I think 'I dont like this' but I cant put my finger on why... It all comes experience.

Just be glad the 'new TAs' had a good time :)

Oh I agree...not all new TAs are 19 year olds at their first party....I think its more about experience in writing reviews on TA...newer TAs seem to focus on positives and not both...I don't know why...maybe its because they want to fit in with the TOTAs so they are affraid of being negative because people will gang up on them so they focus on the good.

Every single person has different taste...so no matter what you might read you will never really know how it was unless you were there...so your just reading personal opinions.

Glad I didnt go to this one :)

I just can't write long review because I don't see any reason yet...May be in the future I will contribute more to this community... Veterans post more because they are addicted to this forum and think that it is worth to do so...

My only review is that he was better at KH than Guv last night; which I think is about the environment...

liek imma 16yearz oldz and i gots into guv last nite wit ma fake id that ma friend double dared me wudnt werk and i liked the thump thump boom boom from that Digflower dood so i thought that i wud post about it!

But in all seriousness I'm a big fan of Digweed and an avid listener of Transitions. In anticipation of Digweed coming to guv I had been constantly playing his Aug 3rd set from Ibiza which was just some awesome choonage. This was the 2nd time I've seen Digweed live and I really enjoyed the stuff he spun, and that's what I was excited to post about. I chose to leave out the negatives like the crazy old asians, the hot and sticky atmosphere, the off beat atmosphere, and general stench of the place because I wasn't writing a review, I was just posting about what I enjoyed.

All in all a great night! The crowd was wonderful, polite, lots of room, and never too hot. Is it just me, or since Circa has opened, the crowd at the Guv has gotten better?

I barely listened to MO, or Fortier's opening sets, so I have no real opinion on them. I just like that Fortier left the BPM at a nice heavy pace for Digweed to come on, and get down to business.

Digweed played a fantastic set, perfect peak time music. It is just a pleasure hearing somebody like him play. Great timing, great mixing, and great tunes. Yes, he missed a few transitions here and there, but you could only notice because we have come to expect perfection from the man. The energy he played with was great for dancing, sharing and just enjoying our selves.

With that being said, I believe Digweed has one major flaw: he seems to play anti-climactic sets. He could have played till the end and just killed us/it, but he builds up, then lets us down gently. He did a great job of varying tracks to build energy and cool the crowd, just like a pro would. But, as the middle of the set came around, he started to just drop it a notch, and it felt like it got calmer and calmer.

Overall, I was just happy to hear the guy play again, it was long over due. I know he threw in a couple of oldies in there, but I just cannot ID them.

I ended up staying for MO's closing set, because I had to wait for the GO Bus. Must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the closing tunes. He kept that same banging/trippy feel, and did well to keep the floor filled, and the fans happy. Ended up leaving around 7am, during what I think was an old BT track?

Agreed. This is another one of the reasons I don't really like Digweed anymore.

so..night started off well with ninjapimp, infinityhigh and i taken off for the pre meetup. to all those who were pissed off at me, i dont blame u..but i walways show up 45 minutes to an hour late for meetups cos nobody shows up usually till about that time anyway:stongue: :stongue:

so...was nice meeting the peeps from michigan ie. djarecebo and crew. was nice finding out all the info about michigan for good old Elmo...but the guy still couldnt get him....was like one of those sad movies when the man and woman split apart for the rest of their life:(

anyways..so we get in, addy is droppin some dirty in beats...very impressive warm up set i must say. Kudos to Addy if he reads this.

infinity_high and i went to the mainroom for a bit and found the eeasiest way to get abck to the kool haus was by tagging along with the dude transporting BTs fones between rooms :stongue:

BT starts settin up and when i noticed the apple logo on his laptop, out of a stupid fit of mine i yelled "Macs suck" to which he asked if i was some kind of a promoter of IBM and Bill Gates.:stongue: ...

so 1 hour later, im goin in bizzerk in front of him to Emerge and he takes notice and yells "AND YOU SAID MAC SUCKS???" with an evil chuckle..

BT tore the crowd up like a dagger...really in brilliant....

Who i was really there to see was Holden and :eyes:
Staarted off his set with the original mix of Nothing and just went DIIIIIRTYYYYYYYYYYYYY after that..in pounding like a in bomb... too bad he didnt play legacy (even tho he says he had it) nor his returning 93 mix (which was obviously gonna be his conclusoin track) but due to time constraints and since it was MR. Corsten's turn on the decks he couldnt.

the downside of last night were:
1. the dude up front whom i politely told not to blow his in whistle 5 times and a whole load of others following suite.he didnt do so tho. i think it was like a habit...i can excuse him cos when i told him everytime he said he wouldnt but 10 minutes later, there it was *bee*bee*bee*bee*:whip:

2. the dude who interupted my talk with holden and just made a fooll of himself..this is how it went:

dude: hey great set man...are u from toronto?
holden:(brit accent) no no, im from London
dude: oh London, Ontario?
Holden: nono, London UK :conf:

last night i just thought how low some people make DJs feel..sorry i just have to went this out....i saw tons of people giving napkins and to get signed...how can someone stoop so low and give a napkin to get signed????ur basically showing that even tho u came to see the DJ, u didnt get something worthwile to sign which u can keep treasured.

anyway to end this page long review(longer than answers in my exams), shout out to all the TAs i met last night..was wanting to see 80 of us together..but it all got ruined cos @12, BT was sceduled to come on and thats when the meetup was to be.
