I just bought a bottle.. It seems to be helping out.. Maybe I'll have some Cold FX too to speed things up.. Need to be better for Ottawa this wkd LOL.
I also think STRESS adds a major factor to one's immune system and getting sick. I find when I am stressed to the bone, my immune system takes a hike. Ugh.. i can't wait to be done school :eyes: |

In general, when I'm getting regular exercise, I don't get sick at all. If I slack for a long time then sometimes I can catch colds every month or two if I'm not careful. Can't remember the last time I had something more serious (although I'm sure it'll happen now that I've said that).
The irritating part is that whenever I get sick I know exactly who gave it to me and know that they were in no condition to be at work (or wherever). People just can't seem to keep their germs to themselves. |

I usually catch a bad cold lasting 1-2 weeks in mid-March, I didn't this year, likely because I wasn't working so I was getting 12 hours of sleep and never leaving my house. Other than that and my seasonal allergies, I never get sick... the last time I had the flu was 1999. No flu shots either.
To those saying they get sick all the time, do you use a lot of disinfectants or regularly turn to medication whenever you're sick? I know a few people who are chronically ill, and I have a feeling it's because they've taken so many medications and used so many disinfectants to sterilize their surroundings that their immune system has been weakened. Then again, I'm no doctor, but I know *I* don't get sick :)
I'm a believer in the "don't use medicine unless you're dying" approach to health. Whatever doesn't kill me the first time won't make me sick to begin with next time ;)
I don't even take Tylenol for headaches anymore (active chemical is highly toxic to the liver) . I've seen so many reports over the years linking chronic illness with overuse of disinfectants and medications that I refuse to do anything more than shower, brush my teeth, and wash my hands (only to get rid of dirt, if my hands are 'clean'... eff it, I'm eating!). |

I've noticed that since I don't go to clubs as ofter anymore I don't get sick as often. |
Same here, but also more likely because I am not running my body down with partying every weekend either.
We'll see what happens this winter though. I am bound to get sick a couple times. |

Yes, but stay away from Purel, and antibacterial soaps, unless you are dealing with the old, or working in a hospital. Kids should be exposed to as many germs as possible.
|
Precisely! Your little snowflakes need to build their immune systems. Let them eat their boogers I always say.
There's a reason Purell and others like it kills 99.9% of bacteria. It doesn't kill the mutated bacteria that have become resistant to these agents. It's killing off the easy ones and allows the resistant ones to reproduce further without worry. Let them get competition. |

During the winter, I always wake up in the morning with a runny nose but am fine for the rest of the day.

How often do you get sick? And what are you usually sick with?
For me, it's been WAY too often as of late.. I'm getting over a really bad throat infection that has put me out of commission and unable to attend classes since last Friday. Before this, I had other throat BS late August & had to miss a gig... :( 3
I'm thinking of going to see a naturopath soon. |
It's Richard!!! :p lol |

depends on what your definition of sick is.... |
I agree.
I'm pretty sure a LOT of ppl would consider themselves sick many times that i wouldnt.
Like my sisters for ex...they're always sick, but say so when they have a scratchy throat or the sniffles.
i i have a scratchy throat everyday after i go out and have like 10 smokes.. |
