| I wouldn't say it's failed... just that this first shot at a bailout failed. They'll go back to the drawing board and work out something else. |

basically obama and Mccain are going to tell their repunbicans and democrats that they need to in vote yes. and willprobably tell them "i;m not your boss yet, but i will be. Vote yes."
trust me it'll go through and if they vote no I'm sur etheyll push it through anyways |
I dunno...I don't believe that this plan alone + forcing to vote "yes" will be sufficient enough!
Something needs to be changed/added/tweake in order for something similar to this bailout plan to go through |

I don't believe it will be the be all or end all either. i don't even support it. However the people in power support it BIG TIME and when they want something they find a way to get it. |

I don't see why people are against the bailout?
It's not even a "bailout", the government would just be buying up the mortgages of homes that have dropped in value to below the loan amount.
The banks can't afford to hold on to them, but the government can.
If they hold them till the market turns, say 4-7 years, they could cash out and make billions....
Those properties won't stay undervalued for too long, there not making anymore land. |

| Perhaps people should have realized that this was coming a good while back, b/c there has been every indication that this was coming for over the past 1.5yrs. But people are sheep, & didn't look at the information, just the opinions published in the media (who are people that are just as clueless as the average investor), and now they're ed right along with the banks. |

That idiot Bush is bringing down the strongest country in the world....
10 BILLION per month being wasted in Iraq......

Temp fix yes, but SOMETHING needs to be done until a proper solution is implemented and takes effect.
A big boat takes a long time to turn around...
And with the election date so soon... I dont see any major solutions occuring until the new president is in the house.
Its sad how many people are losing their homes. |
Sure something needs to be done but just pumping more money into a situation doesn't mean it will fix things? I dont' know... |

Yeah. It's only what 13 votes to pass the package. There will be some severe political arm twisting going on in next week or so.
Silly Americans... |
