The market goes through corrections, its natural, you can't change it. There is no solution for the market going down its supposed to happen. |

Just imagine the kind of trouble the US would be in if China or Japan started selling some US Treasury Assets...
Oh dear god! Together China & Japan have $1.1 Trillion in US Treasury securities...

True. However, the government and other large corporations can help to try and reduce the volatile of the market...

I dont understand why some of you are against this bailout.
This would be GREAT for Canadian economy.
The US injects this money and take on a huge Debt!
If this helps the US economy, it will help ours...as we always follow it PLUS we don't get to take on their huge debt. |

Sure for short term. But we don't really lose anything. We don't take on their debt...so even if short term it benifits us more than them if it doesn't do anything long term.

And in the long term US economy fails, Canada is going to be in even bigger hurt.
Well, unless Canada starts diversifying trade partners but I don't see that happening. (Who would Canada trade with?) |

You can't stop a recession, its just putting it off with a bailout then when prices of real estate get even more overinflated the bubble will burst even more. |
