Warren Buffet will, he bought about 3 bil worth of GE last week.

Looks like the TSX opened down 500 or so points...

and they are being sued too!

how does that happen.

I guess because so many Britons had savings accounts in Iceland. I still think it's a pretty ignorant move on the UK's behalf...this is a time where countries should be helping one another.
The Swedish Bank even gave out a loan to help their arm in Iceland despite woes in their country as well.

Found another article on BBC that explains the situation a bit better. Apparently the UK is acting upon some anti-terrorism act?

You can buy Iceland for only $9 Billion. I wonder if anyone has put it up for bid on E-Bay yet?

So a person could buy Alaska's private jet for the governor, Iceland and the double decker bus used in the Spice World movie......oh the possibilities!!!

I remember back in the Mighty Ducks movie how Iceland was the team to beat in the Nationals there...

Apparently they are ranked #38 by the IIHF, just behind the Mexican Ice Hockey Team...

I just read this article on Africa's concern over the world financial crisis and how they hope it won't "affect aid".

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7662893.stm

I hope I don't sound ignorant here but it ticks me off the AU is more concerned about the amount of aid money they'll receive than anything :whip:

Africa's been a lost cause for a while...

but that's just a personal opinion, and apparently i'm ignorant. But still.

Well what the hell else would they have to worry about?
They certainly aren't concerned with mortgage defaults.
