Let's talk about showers.

I have two questions:
1. I recently discovered the joy that is eating breakfast in the shower. Buttery toast or waffles and hot, hot water on sore muscles = win. Is this rare, or do others indulge?
2. Shower farts. Why do they smell so much worse than open air flatulence? It's definitely not the enclosed space (I beefed in a broom closet to test this hypothesis), so I'm guessing it's something to do with the interaction of water and methane. |

1. No, that's weird.
2. I have also considered this, and believe it to be (perhaps) that the fart immediately rises to your nostrils with the steam rising from the hot water. The normal (slower) rising of the fart to your nostrils would allow it more time to disipate, and hence not smell so immediately offensive.
This theory should, of course, be tested in a cold shower, which I have not yet done. |

why dont you install a toaster in the shower? it would make life...simpler :D
2. never noticed it in a shower but definatley in the bath sure someone can explain it chemicals & gases etc... |

it's because the steam droplets absorb the scent particles and rise relatively straight up.
where in air the scent diffuses a lot more quickly and is subject to various directions in heat currents. |
