Good luck. Landing a job like that will definitely be beneficial for both you and your resume.
Don't get too excited about option 2 though. If it is anything like my college internship I had for a financial advisors team at UBS Wealth Management, I'd avoid it like the plague. The only thing I learned was dollar cost averaging, rebalancing portfolios, and that I do not want to be a financial advisor.. oh yeah and also taught myself how to use the Bloomberg terminal...nifty device. Anyway, looks good on paper, but really did nothing for me... could be different for you though. |

True.. I knew some advisors at Raymond James Financial, and one of them showed me his $700 a month Reuters terminal. That thing is NASTYYYYYY... |

| wrong ben, i know a bunch of people who are worthless at their jobs and their connections are the only thing that got them their jobs plus some companies don't really like firing people. when you work in an industry where you really don't need to be all that smart you can get away with that...i have realized the only way to get ahead is get lots of people to like me which entails not ing up too much but i could technically up and still get ahead. just don't fail too hard. i hate that but that's the way it is. |
