Research assistant at the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK, Dallas district!!! Wish me luck! Hope my resume and cover letter make me stand out..
For those you who don't know what the Federal Reserve is...they print dollar$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and control the money supply. I would be assisting their economists in analysis of the economy, which of course, if I get hired, whatever I do could ultimately influence the course of this nation's economy. The potential power of that is motivation alone for me...:D |

I like the practice of economics to a certain degree, i'm a business major and i had to take the basic stuff (believe me, that's all i really want to know about it) :p
My dream is to actually run my own business, but your prospects sound great and I wish you the best of luck in all your endeavours, hombre! |

| how did you pass along your stuff? hopefully through someone who knows someone there or directly to someone there. not to be a total pessimist but knowing people is the way to success imo. i don't trust the internet. |

Found the job listing in my University career center website. That directed me to the Federal Reserve website. It's the perfect job for me. A part-time research assistant to their economists. Perfect for my major, resume, and schedule for school. On Friday, I'm going to call the person listed on the job listing as the one looking for the applicant. But I'm not stopping there, I found another job listing of "financial advisor assistant". |
