I never said you can't get anywhere just because you are an idiot, but you can not be a total idiot and keep any job, even if you have names on your side.
While companies do not like to fire anyone (this has to do with potential wrongful termination lawsuits, paperwork, etc.,) they will do so as necessary. If you have someone totally incompetent, they will dump them sooner or later.
And yes I am aware that who you know is what gets the good jobs in general. I have been saying that for a while, but it rings more true in these bad economic times. |
