problem is most people that talk on here and in c0r have never met him in person, i did and he's a very good guy, genuine too. Once you do meet him in person your opinion will change.
He's doing too welll now and people are jealous so whenever something like this happens internet warriors come out. |

quite true that most people here don't know deadmau5, but really, some of the comments he make doesn't help his PR.
people can only make judgement based upon the information they have, and frankly, deadmau5 looks like a bit of douche if his comments and antics are all people can see |

I disagree..i show respect to people until they do something to me personally to lose that respect..and EVEN if i do lose respect for a person..i just wouldn't acknowledge them....there's no need to get so personal and insulting....

maybe it does make him look like that but it doesnt change my opinion of him, the guy is way too sarcastic at times, people don't know this, press is looking for any opportunity to write an article in the newspaper to get people talking about it, i don't have to tell you that..
regarding respect, he's earned my respect long time ago as a producer and as a person when i met him, say what you want, it will not change my opinion of him.
(notice how all the positive things are being said by people who actually had a chance to speak with him) |

I'm not saying he's a bad guy, what I'm saying is that the 'well, I know him' just doesn't do it. Yeah, my example is pretty random and not very credible, I admit that, but that was my whole point.
As much as it hurts everyone's feelings, most DJ's are going to be nice to you in a club/social environment because that's their role. It's not cause your particularly special, it's their status and reputation more so than anything. Sounds pretty selfish, don't it? Vast majority of DJ's are cool, down to earth people and will talk to you anyways most likely... but at the end of the day, it's how great of a person they're perceived to be. It's the way it is.
With that being said, I can't really see even if a closer relationship would effect anyone's opinions on someone else's beliefs. I can tell you right now that if my own mother had said what deadmau5 said about DJ's (let's assume he said it for arguments sake), I would tell her to her face that she's ignorant and needs to shut the up before talking. Does that make her bad/ effect our relationship? Not at all, it's the difference in our view points, it's completely seperate.
I see no point to defending Joel because 'he's a nice guy, you don't know him I do'. It's a stupid argument and if there was any way to defend him, it would be to make any kind of structured argument to why he is right in what he said... but this is TOTA, why do the logical thing? |
