hmm. usually they are 100 dollars. strange.
just go and say that you are a poor poor poor student or something and can't pay. maybe they will lower the fine if you say that you learned your lesson. |

parking in a handicapped spot is the hardest ticket to contest.
the judge will hear the poor student line and say what about the poor cripple?
this along with passing a school bus with flashers on you are pwned. |

I stopped infront of the pita factory here in university plaza in waterloo to pick up a pita. I parked in disabled parking cuz there were no other places, I came out litteraly 2 minutes later, and some fagget is writing me a ticket. He was waiting there like a vulture.
However, I understood what I was doing was against the bylaw, and was fully prepared to pay the 20 dollar fine. But bamm! f#@kin $300 ticket comes in the mail.
So my point is; how do I get out of it? |
you don't get out of it....you know what you did was wrong. Pay your ticket and remember next time....DONT PARK IN HANDICAP PARKING SPOTS |

find someone with that has a permit for handicapped parking and take it in along with the ticket. They'll cancel it |
Elaborate.
Doesn't it say on the permit who it's assigned to? |

| if you have a handicapped person with you, they can use their permit in your car. |

| I had $105 ticket at the Cherry Beach where we had last summer party in September.... Although it wasn't fair ticket, I had to pay coz I had no time to go to court... You gotta pay bro... it is not fair for people with disability.... Tickets are tax- deductible as far as I know... |

find a cripple, bring him to court with you, he says you parked for him.
hand him a 50$ bill, you're done. |

| Just be accountable for what you did, end of story. Everyone's always looking for a way to "get out" of things. Shameful, really. |

| I am accountable. But I'm not accountable for a $300 fine. There are families out there living payday by payday, and 300 would set them back a few weeks. I don't want to give someone a $9000/hr salary for 2 minutes worth of work. |
|
|
| elFreak |
you are an idiot.
that is what the fine is for the law you broke.
YOU BROKE THIS LAW.
next time realize that saving 2 minutes is not always worth it. |

Yes you are. They probably set the fine that high b/c so many people are parking in handicap spots when they shouldn't. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people park in those spots who don't appear to have any handicap at all, nor do they have a permit. |
|

| musicsnob_NOT |
Just pay it you were wrong to do it and that's the fine. It doesn't matter if it was just one minute or one hour, someone who really needed the spot may have needed to use it.
BTW
What does a $300 pita taste like? |
