I was wondering why it was taking so long for a thread to be started here.
Its very stupid, our internet is slow and expensive compared to overseas at the moment, this is only going to make it slower and more expensive again.
Not to mention theres no doubt going to be sites that get caught up by the filter that maybe shouldn't be.
oh, and no opt out, thats just ing stupid. I've got no interest in kiddie porn but I'd sure as hell opt out cos of the speed issues and that theres the chance of sites getting blocked that shouldn't be.
blah blah only other countries censoring the internet are China, Iran and North Korea blah blah

their parents maybe? Internet monitoring should start at home, not expecting the government to raise their children for them.
Ok supposing those parents don't keep an eye on the children when they are browsing, if they wanted a filter, why not use one of the multitude of existing net filters that are available? |
