| I think that's 12mb for everyone. While that is good, it's not good enough. By the time that's implemented, it will be obsolete. I don't think it's very upgradeable either which should be a red flag by itself. |

look at the speeds *available* to everyone atm, yet there's still 256k plans and what not rubbish
add in our ridiculous upload speed caps and download limits
and add to that the potential monopoly, which telstra wants to eliminate other companies dslams
and added cost of this new network
...
basically we'll be paying more for a slower internet service since they'll just cap it, and add even more download limits.
why the dont they just put everyone onto the adsl2+ dslams (telstra had them in their exchanges for YEARS, literally before they enabled them and even then initially only enabled them when a competitor was in the exchange - why didn't they get punished for this??? EVERYONE could have had access to upto* 24mbit internet for YEARS yet they chose to not let us) and uncap it. there's half the broadband issue solved, but no, that doesn't work in australia.... need to be third world and rip us off. |

why is any one group fighting for the same cause a bull group? If it gets the message out there that is what it is about.
It has great information and petitions to print and send in! SNAIL MAIL FOR THE WIN!
That was just some chick on there group sending out that message.. I am sure she doesn't speak for the group! My point with that group was more the site that it linked to.. |

pretty sure she was one of the people running the group. EDIT - yes, she was the creator of the group.
But no, by all means if you want to be part of the group that is being hijacked by nutcases who are more interested in conspiracy theories and think that the filter is to stop us finding out about chemtrails, by all means go ahead, I'm not going to stop you. |
