oh oh oh and don't forget the US trade agreement, which should really be called "Australia, the 51st state of the US agreement". (How come we didn't get to vote for Obama yesterday, we are basically another part of the US..)

oh and this forum could probably be considered illegal as well, since people can talk about anything. OH GNOES THEY CAN TALK ABOUT ILLEGAL THINGS. BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK!

No, PKC is right. Free Trade is a very good thing for Australia, especially since we export so much.

then educate us. what is it about?

It's a huge mother of a thing.

for a start...
Our copyright laws are changed.
Actually sets RESTRICTIONS on some of our exports with the US.
Break a US law and the US can have you extradited so you face trial there rather than charged and tried here (There are instances of this happening).
the whole thing with the PBS (In short, potentially leading to higher drug prices).

That's why previous governments refused to enter a FTA, not in our interests... But who wouldn't refuse? Howard...

Only thing really missing from it is Australians getting to vote in the US election.
