You have that correct. Maybe I will also register as my cat in 2012. The possibilities are endless.

I saw it in September and I spoke to other people about it because I saw how one track minded some people are on this forum. You would be amazed the fear of backlash some of us have had. Had I thought people could have an open discussion I might have reconsidered. After I saw how people were attacking Melly (I posted in that thread) I decided what the hell...I should be able to speak my mind too. So I am.

Fair enough.

Look, I don't want to be your enemy because I don't think you've said anything dumb at all, so please don't even compare yourself to MellyMel; she happens to be your perfect example of voter ignorance.

Just realize that you started this thread with "Ok, all of you Obama supporters" clearly addressing a particular agenda, and you obviously anticipated argument, you just brought a knife to a gun party is all. Which is sort of an ironic addage, given the topic at hand. :s

I posed the question to you guys because you are Obama supporters and theoretically you should be better informed than someone that opposes him. When something is proven to be a fact I don't need clarification. When something is questionable that's when I ask questions.

Once again, I did not accuse Obama.

Did you sleep through this election? No voter fraud?

I took a personal day to volunteer at a polling location. Statistically there probably was a case or two of voter fraud but for it to be significant enough to be "laughable" is in itself laughable.

I don't think that's true at all. I oppose McCain and I'm sure I know more than most his voters, and vice verca. This civilian security force thing is evidence that there is simply too much information to be absorbed to get the total picture.

I would actually argue that it's possibly even more important for people opposed to something to be even more familiar with it than those who support it; no doubt it's the precedent. Obviously, that's what you are doing here.

I'm not even 'supporting' Obama. I didn't vote for him, despite what you may think.

But most of all, I think it's important to treat topics such as this with temperance and not jump to the worst possible conclusion. Hysteria is one of the most effective forms of mass control there is.

The fraud involving registering the starting line up of the Dallas Cowboys football team in itself would be more than one or two.

I have researched Obama as well as most of the other candidates more than most people that I know. I'm not saying more than anyone, but definitely more than most people that I come in contact with.

sour grapes are sour.

I will agree that most people opposed to something will research it more, but that's the problem. Some people don't fully research their candidate because they get into a safe zone. They make a decision and they quit researching and analyzing. Some people never did to begin with. I'm not saying everyone does this but there's no question that a lot of do on both sides and in between.

I don't trust anyone so I research them all. I passed a background check with Homeland Security. Once you have Homeland Security investigate and interrogate your life you tend to return the favor. If I question (I'm not accusing) whether or not a candidate could pass a background check it makes me research them further. I'm not saying that happens to everyone, but it definitely happened with me.
