Hey Guys! Hope everyones doing well. Sunset is a new crew designed to bringing the best in Progressive and Trance music. For our first party we proudly bring you MARK NORMAN. If you havent heard of this Dutch duo you been living under a rock!
Mark Norman are the award winning Dutch production duo, while Norman is deejaying solo they are responsible for a series of high profile original productions and remixes. Dubbed by Tiesto as his hot prediction for the future, dance floor anthems such as Restart, Touchdown, Phantom Manor, Overkill, RUSH, and Mark Norman pres. Celine have assisted in their meteoric rise from hopefuls to fully fledged international artists in just a few years. Signed to Black Hole Recordings on Tiesto’s own Magik Muzik label, original tracks such as Stream, which was featured on Tiesto’s DVD ‘Another Day at the Office’, and almost every release have also proved massively popular with the worlds leading DJs whilst Paul Oakenfold, BT, Tiesto and many more remain among the privileged artists to receive the Mark Norman remix touch. Whilst remaining the only artists to have polled at number one in the Dutch DJ Charts with almost every single release, Mark Norman also remain one of only a select number of artists commissioned to mix the globally renowned ‘In Trance We Trust’ series. Ever growing in popularity, Mark Norman collected The Frysian Pop Award in Holland for services to Dance Music, They teamed up with an classical orchestra and did an unique project and currently they are producing some tracks for the debut album of Jes known from Motorcycle (As the rush comes). Behind the decks their unique driving sound, with influences from diverse scenes, provides an energetic and emotional atmosphere which has seen them rock the worlds leading festivals and events with performances at the legendary Trance Energy, Dancevalley and Mysteryland festivals in Holland along with all the major clubs and prolific UK events including Goodgreef, Cream, Passion and Gatecrasher. Further a field Mark Norman have taken to the skies with performances in Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Lebanon, South Africa, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey,USA and many more and selected dates at Cream’s legendary Ibiza parties. By spending their talents in the studio, 2005 saw the release of their first artist album 'Synchronicity' which was received very well by international press. They did a worldtour '80days around the world which was named as one of the most unique concepts of 2006 by Holland's most leading magazines) and they played together with Enrique Iglesias at the famous Nikki Beach in St Barth's. It’s an exciting time for Mark Norman and stay tuned, you can expect a lot more to come from this dynamic duo.

Dutch/Australian producer and DJ, MaRLo (Marlo Hoogstraten) aka Liquid M, has played the biggest stages Australia has to offer. Alongside the best DJ's in the world, he earned Australia wide respect and has gained great exposure from his Own clubnights (Altitude/Halcyon), DJ performances/LIVE sets, Releases, Worldwide radio broadcasts, interviews for MTV and being on high rotation radio play on Nova 96.9. In early 2007 MaRLo moved back to Amsterdam to hone his talents even further.
After just four months of living in Amsterdam MaRLo managed to secure a lot of new releases signed as both "Liquid M" as well as "MaRLo", He's Produced and performed music for "Cirque Du Soleil" at the Massive Uitmarkt event (Amsterdam) 10.000 people and has secured bookings all over the world. Including the massive TRANCE ENERGY 2008 event in Holland (40.000 people), 6000 people events in Germany, Belgium and Asia.
MaRLo is a master at his studio craft as well as a top DJ/Performer/LIVE act. As a producer, Marlo Hoogstraten uses his "MaRLo" project name for more Chunky styled tracks, and "Liquid M" for a tougher Tech-Trance/ Trance style. As a DJ you can expect to hear an eclectic mix of chunky, phat and bass fuelled sounds which can only be described as the "MaRLo" experience. His sound is exciting, energetic, emotional and powerful. MaRLo has refined his sound after years of performing LIVE and DJ-ing around Europe, Australia,and Asia. His DJ performances are a reflection of the atmosphere of the club and the attitude of the crowd. Having performed in venues ranging from huge warehouses, to sport arenas, to clubs all the way to VIP parties. He always ensures that the crowd is kept interested and excited, you WILL move to his beats, that is guaranteed.
It seems that the sky is the limit for this energetic artist, regularly playing alongside the best international acts in the world, including: Tiesto (voted 1 DJ three years in a row), Armin Van Buuren (current world's 1), Marco V, Danny Howells, Tall Paul, John OO Flemming, Matt Darey, DJ Scott Project, Yoji Biomehanika, Kai Tracid, 4Strings,The Thrillseekers, M.I.K.E (Push), Cosmic Gate, Martin Roth and many many more... true that about europeans pay peanuts for events, i paid 15 euro to see PVD, Jon O'Bir and Sander Klinenberg in Berlin lol... 15 EURO!!!! was about 26 AUD back then!!! |
