I dont think I was searched the couple times Ive been there...
But really I dont see why any one should be overly concerned for their own safety. This was a different night, a different crowd. Its no different than when something happens at Guv on a friday.
Im sure Thursday nights at Hotel are safe, and even more safe now :)
Kind of curious to know what was going on on a monday night though.... |

most guns you have heard about being in clubs do not come in the front door but the back door and the carrier is know to the club and/or the people that work there.
my guess is either the guy was refused entry, or was thrown out, and returned and shot someone.
i could make a phone call and find out for sure, but i am pretty sure this would be how it all went down.
i don't feel entertainment district is all that safe anymore and that is why i stopped working down there. some of the things i have seen would make you think twice about going out in clubs down there to i imagine. and it isn't just limited to blacks anyone, asians are becoming just as randomly violent.

Supposedly the shooting happened in the bathroom so the guy had to be already in the club as opposed to not having been let in.
Also, what happens if a security guard is patting someone down and then feels a gun??? Its not just like they can just say 'excuse me sir, you can't come in since you have a likely loaded illegal handgun on you'. I would probably be scared less if I felt a gun and would probably just pretend I didn't feel it... let the guy in anyways and then call the cops so they can come in and arrest him. |

it happened outside and that bouncer will be back to work tomorrow night for NYE. he is a trooper. |

seriously - what is up with toronto - as much as i hate the eye in the sky prying on what everyone is up to- i really think there must be more of these cameras given that it would somewhat prevent these types of occurences and in the event that they took place, it would give some lead on capturing the idiot who would do such a thing
come to think of it - I though there were cameras on peter in the ent district...weird |
