The question is, is this a Teaser Release or a Press Teaser? The world needs to know!

A quality brand name in this business will not be built by booking tony P or 72hourbilly. Of course they are not going to throw in no name djs to a massive, thats rediculous as they have a standard to live up too.

But you can be sure that the name EDC, TAO, Nocturnal Wonderland, Monster Massive, etc are bigger then the DJs they book to most of its consumers. Kids will go to these parties whether they book AVB, Tiesto, Paul Van Dky, whoever. And there are plenty of kids that go to the party just because of the brand name and not because of the talent. Please dont try and argue against that. So unlike my previous post, now I am teaching you a thing about marketing:tongue2

i was quoting you when you said, "Because %75 the people that will show DONT CARE where it is or WHO is playing, they will show based solely on the brand "how sweet it is." Following that line of thinking, then anybody can play, but now youre contradicting yourself.

here now you say they have to line up to a standard level of the DJs. thus if you want to tease to build up the night, then you have to create a "hook" in the minds of the consumer. and a "date" or any info or design in the flyer does not give the reader a hook.

very true... but when passing out flyers (these teasers/press release) at all age events, the kids just EAT IT UP!!! they love HSII, EDC, MM and all those event and get all 'n excited.

ehhh what? I was not trying to teach you anything. Just letting you know that this is a teaser flyer. Teasing you with the date, just as the promoter of the event himself explained, and many other in the thread because it appears you are confused. So please dont be offended, as i was not trying to question your marketing genius.

As for your brilliant dj advice, Ive taken notes, thanks:wtf:

thats my point. they say its a teaser but its not. showing you a date doesnt make it a teaser either. :p

HAHA. I was gonna post the same thing. I'm sick of this guy coming around too much and his sets have been getting gradually worse :( which is a shame because I've always enjoyed ATB's sound.

yeah the first time i saw him at how sweet..was a amazing set(some trainwrecks) but he had high energy and it was fun. Ever since then he is all over cali and his sets are not changing much. They need a very high energy trance DJ..But then again you gotta think, where do they want to take HSII? Do they want a more house feel or trance feel? But its insomniac so it will be trance.

Last year it was all house... and then ATB.

My point is, Although you seem to conclude you are a marketing mastermind, and are offended that anybody would suggest otherwise, I would just relax on being critical of the promotional tactics of probably the most successful US rave promoter ever. Its pretty pointless and out of line. Instead perhaps you should take notes as I think your own brand incognito has plenty of room for growth as a brand name in this industry.

I think the flyer was meant as a teaser as mr insomniac himself suggested. Im sure he isnt wasting paper or flyers. I had no idea what the date was, and I am now curious who he booked, whether my bud Bamaca gets another slot etc. So it teased me, Im not sure what poll you took, or marketing dictionary you referenced that told you its not a teaser flyer.

Your entire DJ lineup mockery is rediculous. The rave brands built by insomniac are mostly due to their history of booking world class DJs. So its expected that they will have world class DJ's. However, I dont think kids will make up their mind whether or not they are going to EDC depending on if they have booked PVD or AVB, or Benny Benassi or Deep Dish. They are going cause its EDC, the world class DJs just come with the EDC product.

nah i'm pretty sure they come to raves to get ed up. obvious.

Ya. From what I've seen in the past it is usually a party that is more geared towards house music.

I went two years ago and it was Donalde Glaude, Nicholas Bennison, and ATB. Oh ya and Derrick Carter as well. I was about to shoot myself during his set then Nicholas Bennison came on and saved the day with an incredible uplifting trance set. Haven't seen the guy since but he ing rocked the house that night.
