I think the flyer was meant as a teaser as mr insomniac himself suggested. Im sure he isnt wasting paper or flyers. I had no idea what the date was, and I am now curious who he booked, whether my bud Bamaca gets another slot etc. So it teased me, Im not sure what poll you took, or marketing dictionary you referenced that told you its not a teaser flyer.
Your entire DJ lineup mockery is rediculous. The rave brands built by insomniac are mostly due to their history of booking world class DJs. So its expected that they will have world class DJ's. However, I dont think kids will make up their mind whether or not they are going to EDC depending on if they have booked PVD or AVB, or Benny Benassi or Deep Dish. They are going cause its EDC, the world class DJs just come with the EDC product. |
Just because they are the most successful US rave promoter in the US, does not make their actions ALL correct, and their actions God-like. If so, then feel free to copy everything theyve done. Even Microsoft and Apple makes mistakes, and you think the first mover of the US rave scene doesnt? And all I said was its not a teaser, how in heaven and hell is that out of line???? Ive also never compared my brand to theirs. Anybody who knows a little bit of marketing will know that the product life cycles of the product being compared is totally different, so youre not comparing apples to apples here. Also, when did I say I was a marketing mastermind? Someone posted he worked with sales and marketing for 9 years, and that suposedly makes him an expert. I just had to give my background as well since he thought he knew what he was talking about. Also, all I pointed out was its not a teaser, plain and simple. I never said they should stop doing it. They can continue with it for all I care, but its still not a teaser, as in laymans terms, there is not hook in it, among other things.
Thats exactly the point. To quote you again, "You THINK its a teaser", but you DONT know if its a teaser. If its really a teaser, then there should be no debate. Again, it does not provide a cause of action or stimuli. The fact that you want to know if Joaqun is spinning does not make it such. If I quote an official marketing reference, will you submit youre wrong and its not a teaser? I dont know, but your line of thinking suggests that if the biggest rave promoter in the US says this is actually a raffle, you'll say its a raffle, or if he says its a TVC, then its a TeleVision Commercial.
On your last paragraph, then you just contradicted your initial point again and went 180 degrees. You said that 75% of the consumers that attend dont know who the DJs that play there are. Now youre saying they know its world class DJs like PVD or what have you, and they expect such. Kindly make up your mind on whats your stand. Please note that I never pointed out my stand there, Ive only commented on yours by quoting a previous post of yours as well. So when you think about it, its your inital post that was ridiculous and I was just calling it out, same way as you joined the discussion and called me out by saying I was allegedly wrong in my opinion of it not being a real teaser. |

I was about to shoot myself during his set then Nicholas Bennison came on and saved the day with an incredible uplifting trance set. Haven't seen the guy since but he ing rocked the house that night. |
Nicholas only had a 30 minute set that night... how shameful... glad you didn't shoot yourself afterwards... :p |

then why say i was wrong when I stated my opinion? ;) it didnt tease me and I just explained in marketing terms why it wasnt a teaser, thats all there is to it.
i have to admit, this is all a bit mundane, but you called me out by quoting and saying i was wrong, thus I had to reply and play that game. nothing meant other than defending my position. |
