hahaha. well basically. but i'll be gone by late may / early june.

i'm in nicosia, cyprus for 4 months and then travelling around to belgium, netherlands, germany, slovakia, france, czech republic, hungary, austria, luxembourg and the U.K. you should come to cyprus though, it's further out of the way and right next to the middle east but it's definitely a "different" type of european!

oh yeah. any good gay places to go to in any of those countries?! hahaha.
:D

No Greece? :(

Hey guys, I wanna explore the more "hidden gems" of my continent and thought of going to either one of the following places:

Antwerpen

Does anyone have any experience concerning these cities, esp. with regards to nightlife and atmosphere?

much appreciated

Studied there for one year. It's not the nicest of belgian cities (compared to Bruges and Ghent) but it does its job. Still some nice squares, parks, lanes etc...

As for nightlife, you're in for a treat on a good weekend. When it comes to clubs you've got Club Noxx whose been booking all the major djs lately (sasha, digweed ...), Club Industria, Cafe D'anvers and theres loads of nice bars and restaurants throughout the city also.

hostel per night an average would be 20/25 euros

maybe there is cheaper (not sure) but there is most definitely more expensive( but that is only in ubber expensive cities)

you need to scout out good deals in the various places you're going.

Don't know if you mentionned the Uk for example but travelodge has rooms for 10 quid a night ( including central london ) but they need to be booked well in advance.

Good deals can be had everywhere but you need to get on them early or truly be lucky.

I've been to Tallin in Estonia last year for a week and absolutely loved it. Its pretty westernised but not as expensive as Scandinavia. Check out the underground bar next to Tallinn backpackers hostel that simply opens "when someone wants a drink". Also check out kik in de kok :) and the architecture of the old city is stunning.

If you want some fanny, go to the Russian strip clubs not the Western ones, they are far dirtier and some of the women are 7 foot tall Ruski pointyup breasted uberbabes who will do alot! ;)

Also go over to Finland for the day on the ferry, its cheap enough and you get to check out Helsinki and its islands, there is a really cool bar over there that looks like a conservatory with loads of chandeliers , its really stunning.

there is always couchsurfing if you want to avoid the hostel fees :p
