Blagojevich, when are we gonna impeach Obama? Unacceptable.

I largely agree with you. People want to simplify things and sum up all of our nations problems by saying 'Bush is a moron. His fault'.

You're right it's the consumer's overuse of credit, along with stupid and irresponsible loans by Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (I think you can pin some of this on the Clinton administration who pushed to ease loan requirements in the 90's) thus leading to an unsustainable run up in housing prices. On top of that you had people taking out equity in their homes to buy more stuff on credit when prices were peaking...the bubble had to burst some time.

There is this powerful, seductive marketing message that we always are fed here in the US 'take it home now! pay later!' 'Doesn't your family deserve the best!' 'Look what your neighbors just bought!' ...We all gotta look out for ourselves and try to resist that message. It might not be as prevelant now, but you can bet it will be back and people will be falling for it all over again.

Obama has nothing to do with the economy, Bush has nothing to do with the economy. Some might say that Clinton did had something to do with the economy. Either way, Obama isn't Jesus who's going to miraculously fix it.

The economy isn't the government's, more like the bank's, thereby the people's own doing. It's called credit. When you let just anyone use it, things get bad. People will be people and you might see effects such as this one.

look, let's try and stay on the topic of slamming president obama for not delivering on every one of his campaign promises within 6 days of being in the white house.

Agreed. The guy even openly & honestly told us all that it's probably going take more than one presidential term to get the economy back on track. It's not going to get any better within a couple weeks of being in office. I have faith that every choice he makes is in good intentions and will eventually fix things.

thread jackin ftw???

As for the actual article. I'd say him getting fired was the last straw for a person who was obviously demented or had some serious issues.

ohh and the only presidency which displayed more incompetence than Bush's was probably Andrew Johnson...

Believe me, this republic*n't won't shut his mouth. His is sad and delusional.

Like Obama or Bush made him lose his job, this guy and his whole family are dead.
It's unlikely he left a note relating to a political theorem, which is obviously what TASD is Implying.

Sounds clearly mentally unstable.

+1. Thanks Chris for saying it. Those who remember the political "discussions" on here in the run up to the election, know this guy is completely delusional and total republicunt. Bill Clinton is a part to blame for the problems now, but bush had 8 long years to see the problems (housing boom beyond sustainable measures, supbrime super-inflation etc,) but was too concerned with catastrophic invasions of other countries. Bush had all the opportunity in world to do something about this and he actually did the opposite, and helped the USA get to the sate it is now.

As for the whole issue seductive marketing of buy now pay later and keeping up with the jones's, it's their own ing fault and they deserve to have the problems they are having now.

There is no such thing as a free lunch (or car/tv/computer/fridge etc.), and you can't live like your wages forever keep going up AND have no nest egg for when things go bad. Everyone seems to forget the whole world had a pretty rough recession just over a decade ago which burst the bubble of the eighties, and the same things were said then.

All those people moaning that signed subprime mortgages for properties they couldn't even afford when they were earning well, with no deposit down, only paying the interest, were asking for trouble. All it would take is for the housing market to level off (let alone crash) and they would loose money - look what happened, and it took the rest of the economy down with it. Yes, the banks made it waaay too easy but again, no one put a gain to their heads to sign, and as with anything it's always buyer beware. People were so greedy and thick about property that it bit them on the arse....and Bush stood by watching it happen scaring people into thinking terrorism is the only thing to be worried about.

Obama, has so far followed through on his campaign promises, relations with the rest of the world have already improved, defense spending is going down, and policy changes that are positively affecting America are already being felt. All in 6 days.

That dude killed his family because he was unstable and sadly the reason is personal, not economic.

Bill Clinton is a part to blame for the problems now.

*** One of the most inteligent things you've posted.

Bush had all the opportunity in world to do something about this.

*** you're right. He should've been more steadfast and tough with you libtards who accused him of "racism" and "witch-hunting" when he (and Mccain) asked for more oversight to Franklin Raines' obscene profiteering of Fanny Mae whilst it being run into the dirt by the libtard.

As for the whole issue seductive marketing of buy now pay later and keeping up with the jones's, it's their own ing fault and they deserve to have the problems they are having now.

*** "seductive marketing?" Ha ha.. Of course it's the "marketing's" fault and not the leftarded, self-entitled individual who took out loans they couldn't (and wouldn't) afford to pay back.. Ha ha.

There is no such thing as a free lunch (or car/tv/computer/fridge etc.),

*** there isn't? Obama's plan is to ghastly increase the size of welfare.

Everyone seems to forget the whole world had a pretty rough recession just over a decade ago which burst the bubble of the eighties.

*** Nice to see you admit that Bush inherited a Clinton/Gore recession coupled with a post nine-eleven recession and economy.

Obama, has so far followed through on his campaign promises,

*** He has? He's already reneged on tax cuts.. First one being a break for a small business who creates or saves a job. I thought Obama was all about and for small business???

relations with the rest of the world have already improved, All in 6 days.

*** They have? And you can measure it? So Putin and Ahmadenijad's going to "chill" because Obama told them to? Ha ha...

That dude killed his family because he was unstable and sadly the reason is personal, not economic.

*** That dude and his wife were fired from their jobs for their instability, fraud and the absence of corporate compliance. Any employer would've fired them. And rightly so. But they "offed" themselves under an Obama administration. Guess the empty rhetoric of hope can only go so far. And DJ Rann, stop using recreational pharmaceuticals. R!ch too. Your Libtardism's are running amuck lately.
